Shoppers ‘really pleased’ with £22 hair loss shampoo from Amazon

Shoppers experiencing thinning hair have found a shampoo on Amazon that is designed to tackle hair loss at any stage of life – and it costs under £30. The Plantur DMG Clinical Shampoo has been hailed as ‘great’ by customers seeking an effective solution.

Available for £21.99 on Amazon, the clinically-tested shampoo aims to nourish and revitalise hair follicles at scalp level, helping to minimise non-disease-related hair loss. Developed to enhance oxygen and nutrient delivery to hair roots, the product features a patented combination of dimethylglycine and caffeine.

Customers who have used the shampoo are thrilled with their results, sharing their experiences in five-star reviews. One beauty fan commented: “I’ve been using this shampoo for several weeks and have been very pleased with the results. It leaves my hair feeling clean and refreshed without drying out my scalp.”

The same reviewer added: “The formula lathers well, rinses out easily, and has a pleasant, subtle scent that’s not overpowering. With regular use, my hair feels stronger and fuller, and my scalp feels healthier and more comfortable.”

The shampoo is offered in a hefty 250ml bottle – which one customer noted ‘will last a couple of months when used sparingly’. For a more budget-friendly alternative, the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Growth Booster Shampoo is now £9.09 (was £12.99) for a 200ml bottle on LookFantastic.

Other shoppers have shared glowing reviews for Plantur’s shampoo, particularly when pairing it with a hair serum from the same line (also £21.99). One customer said: “I’ve been dealing with hair thinning for some time now, so I decided to try the Plantur DMG Clinical Shampoo in the hope it might reduce hair loss and support regrowth.

“I’ve been using it for just under three weeks alongside the matching hair serum, and so far, I’m really pleased with it. Although I know it can take a few months to see real results when it comes to hair growth, I already feel like my hair is in healthier condition since using it. It feels fresher and thicker, which is encouraging.”

Another reviewer, who labelled their feedback ‘excellent’, commented: “Wonderful shampoo, my hair looks thicker.”

For those who favour a serum, the Champo Pitta Growth Serum is priced at £34 online. The brand says one bottle is purchased every 30 seconds.

However, not all customers were completely satisfied with the Plantur shampoo. One buyer considered it ‘pricey’, stating: “Expensive even if it is good, I can’t afford long-term use.”

Nevertheless, the majority of feedback for the product remains overwhelmingly positive, securing it a 4.6 out of five average rating. One delighted buyer awarded five stars for ‘hair regrowth and thickening’.

They commented: “I have been suffering from hair loss together with very fine hair. Having tried alternative products I am now using this together with the serum. The shampoo is great and a little goes a long way!”.
