£95 haircare set reduced to £45 leaves strands ‘thicker’

A volumising haircare set has been reduced by more than 50% – and shoppers are loving the results. The Percy & Reed Four-Piece Fuller Hair Edit is currently available from QVC for £45, down from £95, saving 52%.
The site says shoppers can ‘bring the salon experience home’ with this set, which includes a shampoo and conditioner tailored for either strength or volume, along with a mousse and supersize dry shampoo. The volumising pair is ideal for hair which needs ‘a little oomph’, helping to lift at the roots and promote a fuller appearance, while the strengthening option works to promote elasticity and leave hair looking and feeling healthier.
Whether shoppers are after a full-bodied finish or a little extra care, the site says this collection helps people ‘style effortlessly for a fresh look every day’. For those who don’t want to run out, there’s also a subscribe and save option.
As an alternative, M&S has the Haircare Gift Bag for £30. The products come in a metallic drawstring bag and include The Good Habit Hybrid Oil, Philip Kingsley’s Body Building shampoo and conditioner, Aveda’s Botanical Repair Treatment and more.
Or at Cult Beauty, there’s the Maria Nila Beauty Bag – Head & Hair Heal (worth £75) for £51. The site says these hair heroes cleanse, condition and style without compromise, making them ‘ideal for maintaining healthy, glossy, salon-quality hair every day’.
The Percy & Reed Four-Piece Fuller Hair Edit has received positive reviews on QVC’s site, however. One shopper said: “I bought (this) about a month ago and have really seen a significant change to my hair. You don’t need to use loads as (it’s) very concentrated. I now have natural grey hair that’s shining and feels thicker.”
A second said: “Just bought this as it seemed to be a good offer at the time. I’m so glad I did, I’m loving the shampoo and conditioner, I can feel a difference in my hair already just after a couple of washes. The dry shampoo is the best one I’ve ever had – will be buying this one from now on.”
While a third commented: “I bought this last week, used it once and I am so happy with how my hair looks and feels! Been looking for a ‘new’ shampoo and conditioner, have super long hair and have used my regular product since forever! The mousse is not sticky at all. My new go-to product.”
One shopper deducted a star, saying: “Have used this range before. I split this bundle with my sister, I kept the dry shampoo. I gave four stars because the dry shampoo does give a white residue when it stated it did not. Saying that, it’s much kinder to the hair than other brands.”
Someone else said as part of a longer review: “This has improved the overall colour of my hair, bringing back my natural dark brown shade. The grey seems to be not as prominent and, overall, I feel it’s better to feel and look at. Initially, I bought it to try the dry shampoo, which I have used once and the jury is out on that. The price is okay, but I’m not convinced it’s worth what it went up to after TSV as they are not large sizes and, if you wash your hair every day as the weather is now, they won’t last long.”
