Philips electric shaver ‘gives a very close shave’ and ‘leaves skin soft’
Shoppers are praising a Philips shaver that they say gives a ‘nice, close comfortable shave’. The shaver in question is the Philips Electric Shaver Series 3000X, which is currently available on Amazon for £44.99, down from £54.99.
It features 27 self-sharpening PowerCut Blades which can cut up to 55,000 times per minute right above skin level for a ‘smooth, even shave every time’. Users can shave wet or dry, and its SkinProtect Technology gives a comfortable, clean shave even on sensitive skin, the site says.
The tool has been built to last, with the shaver offering ‘two years of self-sharpening steel blade lifetime’. Plus, the floating shaver heads flex in four directions to maintain even contact with the skin, protecting it from nicks and cuts.
As well as the shaver, the set comes with a protective cap and a USB-A charging cable for convenient on-the-go charging. The shaver is currently listed as an Amazon’s Choice product and more than 2,000 have been bought in the past month on the site.
As an alternative, shoppers could grab this Braun Series 3 Electric Shaver 310BT for £44.99, down from £64.27 from Argos. This handles shaving, trimming and edging for the beard, with three flexible blades which adapt to the face and scalp contours.
Or at Debenhams, there’s the Panasonic ES-RT37 Wet and Dry Electric 3-Blade Shaver for Men for £34.95, down from £79.99. This one has a close three-blade shaving system, can be used wet or dry, and there’s a pop-up detail trimmer included.
The Philips Electric Shaver Series 3000X has received an overall average rating of 4.5 out of five stars from more than 5,400 reviews on Amazon. One shopper said: “Gives a very close shave and leaves your skin feeling soft. Very good price.”
A second person said: “Purchased after my other razor died. I decided to purchase this one because of the price and I did not want to spend a fortune on another one. It gives a nice, close comfortable shave and charges up from a computer via USB. Very pleased with my purchase. Recommended.”
While a third wrote: “Brilliant razor, replaces an old one I’d had for years, and I’m not disappointed.” Others, however, left some feedback in their reviews.
One said: “Could do with being a little more powerful, but for the price, (it’s) good.” This person commented: “Okay, it’s not as smooth as a wet shave but it cuts close, and is certainly easier than the faffing about of a wet shave and so much quicker.
