Zara Tindall has revealed which member of the Royal Family influences her the most when it comes to fashion, and her answer is far from surprising. Princess Anne’s daughter is a beloved member of the Firm, and royal fans get excited over her sartorial choices every time she makes a new appearance.
Zara, who is married to ex-rugby union star Mike Tindall, is known for her classy and elegant pieces, always tailored to perfection, for her various engagements. Now, as the Olympic equestrian is bracing for Cheltenham Festival next week, she spoke during a new interview after being announced as fashion brand Fairfax & Favor’s new official ambassador. Speaking to Hello! magazine, she revealed it was her own mother, the Princess Royal, who influenced her the most on her approach to fashion.
Zara told the outlet: “Mum taught me the importance of having good-quality clothing that keeps you warm and comfortable outdoors.”
Regarding her style, as Cheltenham is drawing closer by the minute, she revealed: “My number one style tip for dressing at Cheltenham would be to create a balance between elegance and practicality.
“Choose a classic, tailored outfit, but make sure to incorporate layers and weather-appropriate accessories.
“For me, it’s about what works and feels good to wear.”
She added: “For events where I have to get more dressed up, I work with an amazing stylist who’s brilliant at finding pieces that reflect the type of event it is.
“So, for instance, when I go to Australia for the annual Magic Millions event, I wear a mix of British and Australian designers, and then continue wearing them when I’m back in the UK.”
