We’ve had our eye on stylist to the stars Ellis Ranson and so we jumped at the chance to pick her brains on dressing for the Christmas period.

With a client base including Kate Ferdinand, Laura Anderson, Ferne McCann (the list goes on), Ellis dresses celebrities for award shows, film premieres, events and more. Not to mention, Ellis’ own personal style is top notch and she is often posting enviable ensembles over on her Instagram page!

Crafted from cosy cashmere, this crewneck sweater is a chic layering piece that is form-fitting and features a smartly ribbed trim.

The khaki hue will work well teamed with browns and neutrals as well as pops of colour, so you’ll have no trouble mixing this into your existing wardrobe.

Wide leg trousers are a wardrobe must-have that flatter the figure and are easy to dress up or down.

The stretch adds comfort and makes these an every day option that you can wear time and time again. Pair with the matching sweater to nail that tonal trend.

My main tip for any of my clients is if you love it and you feel great, you will look great.

One of our favourite recent looks from fashion genius Ellis, was Kate Ferdinand’s khaki outfit by Joseph for the Royal Carol Service hosted by Kate Middleton.

The tonal ensemble was utterly gorgeous and Ellis says ‘we went for khaki as it felt perfect for this time of year without being too out there, but not just a standard black or navy.’

Luckily for us, Ellis has shared with us her partywear picks from high street shops such as Mango and Nasty Gal, as well as some useful snippets of advice on how to style yourself over the festive season.

Wishing you had your own stylist to help you get ready for the work Christmas party? Well look no further! Ellis has shared her top tips with us. Shop the selection and feel fabulous for all the festivities you’ve got going on…

Look 2 – After work drinks

Go for a basic roll neck and swap your work skirt or trousers for a sparkly skirt and tights, add some accessories and you are good to go.

A roll neck makes for a winter wardrobe staple and the Reiss ‘Piper’ is a smooth-fitting, high stretch addition to your layering collection.

The pale pink is feminine and so close to being a neutral that it is bound to look great with all your outfits.

Reiss is a brand loved by the likes of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle so you’re onto a winner!
