With Christmas now done and dusted, it’s a long-standing royal tradition to jet off for a skiing holiday.
During their childhood, Prince William and Prince Harry were regularly taken by their parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, to their favourite resort in the Swiss Alps: Klosters.
William has since continued the tradition with Kate and their children. While the family is usually private during these trips, they have previously shared a handful of rare photos from Klosters.
Elsewhere in the royal circle, Sarah Ferguson and her daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, are also avid skiers, while the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh recently enjoyed a winter break in St Moritz.
So, if anyone understands the art of alpine chic, it’s the royals. Kate, in particular, is known for her polished ski-slope style, often favouring colour-block looks in classic red, white and black.
Meanwhile, although not dressed in traditional ski gear, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked effortlessly stylish as they marked the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.
Meghan stayed true to her signature neutral palette, pairing her outfit with snow boots from her go-to brand, Sorel, which are still available to buy.
In fact, Kate is also a fan of the brand, with two designs in her collection, including the Caribou style.
Even for those not heading abroad, these boots are perfect for tackling the snowy conditions forecast across the UK.
Inspired by these royal winter wardrobes, I’ve created seven standout looks designed to take you seamlessly from the slopes to après-ski drinks at the bar.
Expect options from brands such as M&S, Sweaty Betty, Perfect Moment and Roxy, featuring colour palettes inspired by Kate’s bold colour-pop looks, Meghan’s love of understated neutrals and Diana’s playful, eighties-inspired aesthetic.
