Fragrances are expensive, and having a signature scent can mean splurging on top-ups every time you run out.
With costs increasing, bargain beauty is on the rise, and there’s no longer the need to buy designer, if you’d rather save money.
M&S is no longer solely for food or fashion, as the retail giant’s beauty department is growing.
The low prices are one of the biggest perks of the range, and the Orange Blossom and Amber Discover Intense fragrance is £12.50 and racking up praise from M&S shoppers.
Buy: Orange Blossom & Amber fragrance (£12.50)
The perfume is described as a ‘unique blend of freshness and warmth’ and features notes of fruity mimosa and peach combined with spicy amber for a deep and lasting scent.
It comes in a stylish but simple bottle, but while the appearance may not rival designer brands, shoppers are comparing the smell of the fragrance to Coco by Chanel.
The premium perfume costs £136 for 100ml, whereas the M&S version is £123.50 cheaper.
With Valentine’s Day next week, M&S has included the fragrance in its gifting section, along with the seven other scents in the Discover Intense range.
Febslc73 said: ”Lovely perfume. Smells quite like Coco Chanel. Really good value perfume.”
Wood04 commented: ”Bargain gorgeous eau de toilette. Lovely fresh perfume – and at such a great price – gorgeous.”
TraceWhi also added: ”Lovely smell. Unfortunately doesn’t long. But for the price just top it up.”
Some shoppers have commented that they wish the perfume had more longevity, which you would usually get with much more expensive designer fragrances, so if you’re looking for a highly long-wearing scent it may be better to spend more.
