The Princess of Wales sparked a fan frenzy after she sported an old-school jacket she used to wear in 2007, before she was engaged to Prince William.
Princess Kate and the future king headed to South Wales on Wednesday to carry out engagements in Pontypridd ahead of St David’s Day.
Kate and William visited market traders in the area and Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland to learn about how the community is coping following the recent devastating flooding.
The town, which was badly hit by Storm Dennis in 2020, was also in the path of Storm Darragh, which brought extremely high winds to the region in December, a few weeks after Bert.
Princess Kate looked chic as she recycled two of her beloved pieces of outerwear for her outfit.
At first, Kate was spotted wearing her red Alexander McQueen coat, which she has worn on various occasions, including last year’s Christmas carol concert.
Underneath, the princess looked stylish in a brown tartan pleated midi skirt by Gucci, which she paired with a brown turtleneck top, her Gianvitto Rossi boots and garnet hoop earrings by Spells of Love.
But it was her second outfit that caught fans’ attention as the royal swapped her red coat for a khaki Ralph Lauren jacket she first wore 18 years ago, in 2007.
Kate was first snapped wearing the elegant piece during Day One of the Cheltenham Festival Race Meeting in March 2007, when she joined her then-boyfriend Prince William and other royals.
Fans were jubilant that the Princess of Wales re-wore the jacket and took to social media to praise her.
One user wrote on Instagram: “Ahhh! This blazer is part of one of my fav pre-royal Kate looks!! This is so exciting.”
Another one agreed: “If you get classics like that Blazer, you can wear them forever! I love the pairing with the tartan skirt!”
