Prince Harry’s ex Chelsy Davy, 40, shares rare insight into glamorous island life in Mauritius with her hotelier husband Sam and their three children

Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy has shared a rare glimpse at her glamorous island life in Mauritius with her children and hotelier husband.

Chelsy, 40, dated the Duke of Sussex on and off for seven years from 2004, before eventually finding love with Sam Cutmore-Scott.

The couple, who tied the knot during a relaxed beach wedding in Mauritius in 2022, share three children together, and last December made the decision to relocate to the tropical island ‘(semi) full time’.

Now, Chelsy has given her Instagram followers a rare insight into their life on the small island with an image of her son Leo, four, and daughter, Chloe, two, running along a pontoon towards the glistening blue sea.

Captioned with a blue heart, the image showcases her children’s carefree nature and offers a rare insight into her life on the small island – which she has been visiting annually with her family since the age of four.

Last month, the Zimbabwe-born entrepreneur took to the social media platform to share behind the scenes images of a tropical photoshoot for her fine jewellery label Aya, complete with adorable glimpses of her three children.

The clip showed Chelsy, who epitomised beach chic in shorts and a white linen shirt, supervising the shoot while looking after Leo, Chloe, and newborn son Finn.

The Instagram Reel also featured an adorable cameo from four-year-old Leo, whose voice could be heard as the toddler said: ‘Come spend a day with my mum, while she runs her jewellery business from Mauritius.’

Leo broke down his and sister Chloe’s morning schedule after ‘Finn and my mum get up quite early’ for their morning walk before Chelsy gives them breakfast and sends them off to school.

Footage showed Chelsy supervising the shoot, with Finn strapped to her chest at one point, before coming back home for dinner and bedtime with the children.

Chelsy and Sam, who was in the year above Harry at Eton, tied the knot in Mauritius in 2022 and welcomed their third child together, son Finn, in March.

At the time, the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden reported ‘very few people knew about the wedding’ and Chelsy had given birth to Leo earlier that year ‘without virtually anyone knowing she was pregnant’.

Sam is the brother of Jack Cutmore-Scott, the dashing Hollywood actor best known for his role in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning film Tenet and the drama series Deception.

He is the managing director at The Harper Hotel in Holt, the family business, and the couple relocated to Mauritius after previously splitting their time between Chiswick and Norfolk.

The tropical island has a special significance for Sam and Chelsy, who tied the knot at the Paradis Beachcomber hotel four years ago.

Photos from the ceremony showed Chelsy opted for a boho-chic white dress with cutouts that she bought at a hotel boutique ‘the day before my wedding’, Chelsy told the Standard.

Chelsy was in an on-again-off-again relationship with the Duke of Sussex before they split in 2011. However, the pair have always remained on good terms - and Chelsy even attended Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018

Sam also kept things casual and said ‘I do’ in a navy linen shirt and a pair of white shorts.

The fiercely private entrepreneur announced the birth of her daughter Chloe in a similarly low-key fashion in September 2024, when Chelsy unveiled a jewellery collection named after ‘my baby girl’.

Announcing Finn’s birth on Mother’s Day, Chelsy posted a series of adorable photos of her cradling him while as his two older siblings look on lovingly.

Chelsy said in a heartfelt message that ‘returning to those hazy newborn days has been a beautiful reminder of just how remarkable mothers are’.

She added that running her label Aya while raising three children is a ‘jungle’ but it’s one that ‘I’ve chosen’.

Chelsy also celebrated the ‘freedom’ women today have ‘to shape our lives in the way that feels right’ and wished her followers a ‘happy Mother’s Day’.

Prior to setting up her African jewellery brand, Chelsy worked as a lawyer in the City before making a career U-turn.

She found love with Sam after an ‘on-again, off-again’, relationship with Harry, who had told friends before they split in 2011 that she was ‘the best thing that’s ever happened to me’.

They had met in London when they were both at school but got together in 2004, during Harry’s gap year travels in Zimbabwe, where Chelsy’s millionaire father owns and runs a game reserve.

It became so serious palace officials remarked that he had started calling her ‘wifey’ and she in turn called him ‘hubby’.

Chelsy went on to attend Peter Phillips’s wedding to Autumn Kelly – where she was introduced to the Queen – and was also invited to then Prince Charles’s 60th birthday celebrations.

However, the couple went their separate ways in 2011 due to conflicting careers and long periods apart, though have always remained on good terms – and Chelsy even attended Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
