New Look has launched its summer collection, and one dress has particularly caught shoppers’ attention. The White Floral Print Halterneck Chiffon Midi Dress, modelled by @imhollyfrances, was shared in a video on New Look‘s Instagram page.
Along with a few other occasion dresses, she tried on the floaty dress, commenting that “the cowl neck is so flattering” and “it’s fully lined so it’s not see-through at all”.
The dress comes in sizes eight to 20, and the chiffon fabric is airy and lightweight for warm weather (or dancing if you’re going to a wedding).
Instagram users were quick to leave their thoughts on the post too, with one saying: ”You look fabulous in all of them with your stunning figure. Especially loving the second one for the races etc.”
Another added: ”Beautiful dresses. I always find New Look dresses sizing comes up small.”
While the dress could be perfect for wedding guests and is mostly pink, it’s worth keeping in mind there is some off-white in the design, so you would want to check with the bride beforehand.
Boden has many summer prints, including the Olympia Jersey Maxi Dress. It comes in five colours, petite, regular and long lengths, and sizes four to 22. The fitted top has a band of material around the waist to skim over the upper stomach area, before flaring out to a flattering maxi skirt.
Given the comfortable viscose material, you could dress it up or down – it wouldn’t look out of place at a wedding or the races with heels and a clutch bag, but it would also work with a denim jacket and trainers.
If you want to buy something you can wear in plenty of different ways, the Chiffon Floral V-Neck Angel Sleeve Midaxi Tea Dress is a multi-tasking dress that could be worn to weddings, for days out or even for work. It’s £45 so it’s fairly reasonable, and has a fitted shape, balanced out by fluttery sleeves and a flare-out bottom to add shape.
