Paddy McGuinness has spoken about how Jagerbomb-drinking Prince Harry asked for a trip to the Isle of Fernando’s during a swanky Soccer Aid bash.

The television host and comedian appeared on the Stick to Football Show alongside Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane and Ian Wright.

Having previously played alongside Carragher and Keane in the football fundraiser Soccer Aid, he was asked to recall some of his most surreal moments.

One related to a party at a Chelsea bar in June 2016 in which Harry asked McGuinness to take him to the fictional island of Fernando’s, the winning destination for couples on dating show he presented, Take Me Out.

Prompted by Carragher to tell the story, McGuinness said: ‘We were somewhere in Chelsea and we had this area and we’re just having a dance. It’s dead relaxed because it’s just you and no one else there.

‘I get a tap on the shoulder and I turn around and it’s Prince Harry and he goes: “I wanna go to Fernando’s”.

‘This is the most random thing ever. Then he was there all night and he was a good lad.

‘He was getting involved, he was on the Jagerbombs. I was like, “flipping heck” but that’s just Soccer Aid for you.’

McGuinness, 50, previously told the story in his autobiography My Lifey.

He wrote: ‘To say we were dancing close was an understatement — our chests were touching. He asked me again if I could send him to Fernando’s.’

The presenter then described the moment Harry whipped his shirt off as he continued: ‘He then proceeded to take my shirt off. So now I’m topless, a bottle of beer in each hand, dancing with Prince Harry.’

Paddy said Harry bought the pair Jagerbombs and started a dance-off with the presenter.

He wrote: ‘We finished dancing and while everyone was cheering, we embraced and he gave me a smacker on the lips.’
