Millenials poke fun at Gen Z for forking out £45 on Stanley cups and compare them to free McDonald’s coke glasses
Stanley cups have become the ultimate it item for Gen Z, with hundreds desperate to get their hands on the £45 ‘adult sippy cup’.
The tumblers recently launched in the UK to much fanfare, taking many people to take to X, formerly known as Twitter to joke about the ‘millenial version’
‘These were my Stanley cup’ one person wrote, a pictured of coloured Coca-Cola glasses that came free with McDonald’s meals throughout the noughties.
The item was thought of as extremely sougt-after at the time.
‘I have 3 of those, 1 x Olympics 2012, 2 can glasses and 2 of these,’ one person said.
‘These were elite,’ said one.

Another replied: ‘These were mine’ when they revealed their drinkware of choice to be the Disney Tinkerbell Snowglobe Tumbler with Straw, not a surprise as the iconic Stanley Quencher also comes with a straw
