Meghan Markle’s ‘hippie’ hairdresser says the Duchess of Sussex is ‘always supporting her friends’ as she gushes over her appearance at gala

Meghan Markle’s ‘hippie’ hairdresser has praised the formal royal for ‘always supporting her friends’ following her appearance at the Paley Honors gala last evening. 

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, attended the glitzy event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills in honour of her billionaire filmmaker pal Tyler Perry – the godfather of three-year-old Lilibet.

The former Suits star wowed in a strapless black Oscar de la Renta gown with a sizzling front slit and a pair of strappy Celine heels at the event.

Sparkling around her neck was an exquisite diamond Logan Hollowell necklace, which she paired with rings by Lorraine Schwartz and Engender.

Kadi Lee, who runs the salon, posted a glowing compliment to the former senior royal on Thursday. 

A message posted on Highbrow Hippie’s official Instagram account read: ‘About last night….Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, attends the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala, in honor of Tyler Perry. 

‘Always glowing, always beautiful, ALWAYS supporting her friends.’ 

Last month, Meghan invested in the company’s new hair wellness range and said: ‘I am so proud to invest in [Kadi] as a friend and as a female founder.’ 

She told InStyle: ‘Kadi has a mastery of hair health, and her Highbrow Hippie collection is a perfect reflection of that.’

The former Suits actress has become a regular customer at the Highbrow Hippie since getting her hair coloured there in May 2023.  

Delving into the Duchess’ treatment, Kadi – who charges $550 for a full Balayage service – hinted that Meghan goes to the salon for regular gloss treatments to maintain her hair’s health.

She wrote in the caption: ‘There is nothing like a warm and rich brunette. For this shade, hair is first gently and finely painted, slightly off the root, being careful to not lighten past three shades from the natural color. 

‘Layers of gloss are then applied, and left on a minimum of 15-20 minutes, for maximum saturation, shine and staying power. The result is a reflective brunette with natural movement.

‘The key here is to avoid that obvious highlighted look, and to leave others wondering if the final result could, in fact, be your natural hair color. As the warm season progresses, highlights on the under layers (never on the part) only need to be gently touched up, and the gloss reapplied every two months or as needed. 

‘This shade is ideal for the warmer months as we enter a low maintenance period where the last thing clients crave is having to maintain their hair color.’

There, he revealed that he and wife Meghan Markle have no plans to return to the UK with Archie and Lilibet .

Their individual trips are part of a ‘twin track approach’ that will see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex doing more things on their own rather than together, as they pursue their own passions, a friend previously told People .

These solo visits have meant that the couple have only been seen together a handful of times in the past few months.
