Meghan Markle’s bold Paris Fashion Week look may have been a subtle nod to her last official Royal outing with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle wore two bespoke pieces from Spanish fashion house Balenciaga for a masterclass in quiet luxury at Paris Fashion Week. It was minimalist in palette and reminiscent of her final appearance as a working royal.

For her first look, she wore an all-white flowing suited look, complete with billowing, wide-leg trousers and a simple button-down topped off with an elegant, draped detail across her shoulders.

Later in the evening, as the Paris lights dimmed and the after-party began, Meghan changed into a black dress which had a flowing, column silhouette, featuring a sweeping cape for added drama.

Both looks were reminiscent of her bold green Emilia Wickstead draped dress from her last ever official royal engagement at Westminster Abbey in March 2020.

Meghan’s relationship with draped silhouettes has been long and deliberate, embracing her signature formula, refined simplicity with architectural precision.
