Meghan Markle’s ‘bestie’ make-up artist takes on the trolls as he condemns Netflix show critics

Meghan Markle has chosen to rise above any criticism of her Netflix series and her As Ever lifestyle range.
But the same can’t be said for one of her best friends – who also appeared in the first episode of her widely panned show With Love, Meghan.
Make-up artist Daniel Martin has taken to social media to slam one critic of the Duchess of Sussex, accusing her of having a ‘dark a** soul’.
Mr Martin, who is called ‘Uncle Daniel’ by Archie and Lilibet, had reacted angrily to a post by a woman who shared a picture of her having a different brand of jam on her toast and saying she didn’t care about As Ever.
He said that supporters of Meghan were ‘drowning out’ trolls with ‘our light’. She then hit back and called him an ‘ar*e kisser’.
YouTuber According2Taz, who called Meghan’s ‘fruit spread’ disgusting, said: ‘Literally couldn’t give a single s**t about the launch of a raspberry spread or the daily silly posts on Instagram.
‘I think I’m honestly worn out & bored by Meghan & I’m not promoting her. Instead, i’m going to have some almond butter and jam on toast from my favourite brands’.
Meghan’s friend and defender Daniel Martin saw it and said in response: ‘That troll’s livelyhood has been based on hate and she won’t stop because she needs the money. She’s worn out because karma’s a b***h and our light is drowning out her dark a** soul’.

It sparked a row with According2Taz, who called him an ‘a**e kisser’.
‘Again, I’m called a bully because I didn’t want to post about her raspberry sauce or promote her products. Make it make sense? Her fans have been utterly vile towards me & say things far worse than I have ever said about Meghan Markle. They are angry because I like Bonne Maman’.
She added: ‘I would like to publicly state, that I have never received a penny from Bonne Maman to promote their products!’.
Last month the Mail’s Richard Eden revealed that a source had told him that Daniel has decided to publicly defend Meghan.
‘He’s trolling the trolls’, the insider said.
One Instagram user, Maria Sampson, a London-based fashion design student, commented on an article about the first episode, in which Meghan prepares bath salts for Martin’s stay at her home.
‘It’s got to the point where you just have to laugh now,’ Ms Sampson said.
At this, Martin, who prepared Meghan before her royal wedding, took grave offence. In response, he mocked Ms Sampson’s fashion designs, which she displays on her Instagram page.
‘Like your “designsW??’ he jeered, adding that Ms Sampson didn’t have the status to dare comment on Meghan’s handiwork.
‘Don’t come for my friend without receipts…’ he warned.
Martin, who has been employed by Meghan since he did the American actress’s make-up on legal television drama Suits, did not confine his extraordinary efforts to defend and celebrate her to just one form of social media.
On Threads, he responded to a random question about who was responsible for the music used in With Love, Meghan. ‘It’s all Meghan!’ Martin declared. ‘She’s the superstar DJ.’

Meanwhile, another of Meghan’s guests on the series, the celebrated American chef and restaurateur Alice Waters, does not appear to share Martin’s enthusiasm for the show.
In episode eight of With Love, Meghan, the duchess is seen overwhelming Waters, a pioneer of the ‘farm-to-table’ movement, with thanks for agreeing to appear.
Waters, 80, looks a little uncomfortable.
And, in her most recent Instagram post, she has chosen to lavish praise on a member of the Royal Family, but not Meghan.
‘It was amazing to be present at the meeting of King Charles and Carlo Petrini, of Slow Food International,’ Waters says. ‘I know we have shared values.’
