Meghan Markle spotted ‘breaking rule’ at farmers’ market without Harry | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has been spotted at a California farmers’ market without Prince Harry – and it has been reported that she was breaking one key rule.

The was spotted with her beagle and security detail at the Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market on Friday, shortly after her Netflix documentary was snubbed in the Emmy nominations.

But the farmers market has an explicit ban on dogs, it has been reported. The Daily Mail shared a picture from the market, which reads: “NO DOGS ALLOWED with the exception of recognized service animals… we thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

The Daily Express US called the market to verify if the rule was in place at the time of Meghan’s visit, but did not receive an immediate response.

On the market’s Yelp page, it is also reported by one user that no dogs are allowed at the market. “There are signs at every entrance,” they add.

During her trip to the market, Meghan was spotted checking out flowers while wearing a collared shirt and a maxi dress.

In one picture exclusively published by the Mail, the Duchess appears to spot the paparazzi as she buys a bunch of pink flowers.

She also reportedly stopped at one farmers’ market stall to sample its honey.

Her pooch was looked after by her burly security guard while she browsed the tents full of local produce.

Meghan was spotted on another fun day out last week as she hugged her daughter Lilibet while they attended a Fourth of July parade near their $14.7m Montecito home.

The Duchess went browsing at the farmers market a day after she and Harry were snubbed in Thursday’s Emmy Award nomination announcement.

The royal couple’s six-part Netflix documentary series trashing the Royal Family and revealing details of their private lives was widely expected to be nominated for one of TV’s top prizes.

Yet their show was completely absent from the list, just days after they were nominated for another top TV award.

Mark Boardman, a showbiz writer and media commentator who is also Entertainment Editor at MarkMeets, told Daily Express US: “It was definitely an upset for the couple to be overlooked.

“The lack of an Emmy nomination for the Harry and Meghan docuseries can undoubtedly be seen as a significant setback for the power couple in the media industry.”
