Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle sports outfit and accessories worth £61,795 as she visits Montecito restaurant with actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley – including a £15,500 Cartier necklace and Dior bag named after Princess Diana

Meghan Markle was snapped wearing a casual outfit worth a staggering £61,795 during an outing in Montecito – which included expensive jewellery and a handbag named after the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, was photographed as she left trendy Italian restaurant Tre Lune on Sunday.

A-listers including Kourtney Kardashian, Ellen DeGeneres and Sofia Richie are thought to be fans of the eatery, which is near the $14.5million Montecito mansion Meghan shares with Prince Harry, 39, and their children Archie and Lilibet.

As she left Tre Lune, Meghan was seen chatting with actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 52, wife of American country singer Brad Paisley and star of the 90s movie Father of the Bride.

The mother-of-two, who is known for her love of designer brands and glittering jewels, sported her £245 white ‘Mika’ shirt from Los Angeles brand Anine Bing with a £150 pair of La Ligne ‘Molly’ jeans and £820 lambskin ballerina flats from Chanel.

However, racking up the majority of Meghan’s bill was her jewellery, which included Princess Diana‘s £17,800 Cartier Gold Tank Française watch, and her £5,800 Cartier Love Yellow Gold Bracelet.

Also adorning her wrist was her Against Evil Eye Five Eye Diamond Pave Bracelet by celebrity-favourite jeweller Lorraine Schwartz.

The now sold out piece, which retailed for a staggering £15,800, features topaz, as well as both black and white diamonds.

On top of her bangles, Meghan also donned two necklaces, including her £15,500 Cartier Justr Un Clou Necklace.

She layered it with her £1,425 Imperial Disc Pendant Necklace from Ariel Gordon Jewelry.

Her pricey ensemble also featured her Dior Medium Lady D-Lite Bag in Black Cannage Embroidery, which retails for £4,100, and was named after Meghan’s late mother-in-law Diana, Princess of Wales.

Finishing the look, Meghan sported a pair of Ray Ban Gold Aviator Classic Sunglasses, which retail for £155.

In addition to the rest of her valuable jewellery, Meghan also wore her engagement ring, which is reportedly worth around £271,000.

Tre Lune has become one of the ultimate celebrity hotspots in recent times, with a slew of stars, including Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker, Ellen DeGeneres, Sofia Richie and Scott Disick visiting the restaurant.

And her attendance there on Sunday did not mark the Duchess’ first trip to the Italian eatery – she celebrated her 42nd birthday there.

The restaurant, which is open to all members of the public, offers rustic food priced at around $30 for a main course.

As well as being known for its breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, Tre Lune, which opened in 2003, boasts high standards of wines too, and is a yearly ‘Wine Spectator’ award winner.

The combination of the celebrated food and drink, and its location, made the spot a convenient choice for the two women.

Kimberly and her husband Brad, who are long-time residents of Montecito, are part of the local social circle.

Celebrities Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are also part of the group.

Kimberly, who is known for her charity work, is reported to be heavily involved in a number of causes which Meghan has said are close to her heart, including ending food poverty.

The actress, who wore a blue button down dress with white trainers, is best known for her role in Father of the Bride.

She starred alongside Steve Martin and Diane Keaton as lovestruck Annie in the movie, which marked her very first big screen role.

The film proved to be a launchpad for Kimberly’s career, leading to starring roles in a number of films throughout the 1990s, including Indian Summer (1993), Coldblooded (1995), and The War at Home (1996).

From 2001 she became the co-star of According to Jim for a whopping eight years, even directing three episodes herself.

She then added appearances on show Nashville, Boston Legal and Two and a Half Men after According to Jim wrapped in 2009.

Kimberly has been married to country singer Brad Paisley for more than 20 years, and the couple share two children.

In addition to her acting and charity work, in 2016, Kimberley penned her memoir Where the Light Gets In: Losing My Mother Only to Find Her Again.

In it, she opened up about how her mother’s dementia changed her life.

The tome detailed the family’s struggle as Kimberley’s mother Linda developed an illness called primary progressive aphasia – and slowly lost the ability to ‘talk, write and eventually recognise people in her own family’.

Reviewers praised the moving book, which in an excerpt described how Kimberly, her father and siblings ‘educated themselves, tried to let go of shame and secrecy, made mistakes, and found unexpected humour and grace in the midst of suffering’.

Kimberly and Brad recently founded an initiative called ‘The Store’ to tackle food insecurity.

On their website, the pair explained that the inspiration for the project, which provides basic groceries for those that need them free of charge, began because they wanted to teach their children about global issues.

‘We’ve got to get them into service and get them out of their bubble, and help them understand that there are hungry people in the world,’ Kimberly said.

In 2020, The Store opened up in Nashville, only to be forced to tackle the aftermath of a tornado outbreak as well as the COVID-19 pandemic in the same year.

Their website reads: ‘The Store distinguishes itself by offering a unique shopping experience that upholds the dignity of its customers.

‘Unlike traditional food pantries, The Store invites shoppers to choose their foods from a variety of fresh, healthy options.

‘This model ensures that families have access to meat, dairy, and fresh produce—often hard to find in traditional food assistance programs.’
