Meghan Markle reveals who her kids call ‘uncle’… and it is not Prince William

Meghan Markle is opening up about her children’s lives – and the person that son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three, call ‘uncle.’
On Tuesday, Markle’s new home entertainment show made its debut on Netflix with eight episodes featuring an array of her famous friends and close companions.
The series, titled With Love, Meghan, sees Markle opening up about her home and family life, and even sharing some of her favorite things with viewers.
And, in the first episode, she welcomed longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin, while revealing the special bond that her two children have with him.
‘He has just been in my life for the before, during, and after, shall we say, and he’s very much a mainstay,’ Markle said in the episode about her friend.
‘Uncle Daniel, the kids call him,’ she added.
‘They know Daniel very well, and I love him to pieces.’
Of course, Markle’s children also have an uncle in Prince William, who is Prince Harry‘s brother.

However, over the past few years, things have appeared to be strained between the two siblings, especially after Prince Harry’s bombshell 2023 memoir, Spare.
During the episode, Daniel and Markle made multiple dishes together – including a one-pot pasta and a honey cake topped with buttercream and raspberries.
They also worked together to make beeswax candles straight from the bees that she keeps in her yard.
Of course, Daniel wasn’t the only guest who made an appearance in Markle’s kitchen.
On the second episode, comedian Mindy Kaling gets together with The Duchess as they create an adorable birthday party for kids.
However, things got a bit awkward when Markle corrected The Mindy Project star for calling her by the last name ‘Markle.’
‘It’s so funny too that you keep saying Meghan Markle,’ the former Tig blogger told Kaling during the episode.
‘You know I’m Sussex now,’ she added, as she continued to speak about how important it was that her family all share the same name.

Of course, her husband, Prince Harry, also made an appearance, having a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment in the final episode of the series – where the Duchess of Sussex organized a brunch ‘with her community.’

‘Oh there he is,’ she gushed as her husband walked in, sporting a casual linen shirt and jeans for the outing.
The couple packed on the PDA as the Duchess huddled up to her husband, and said ‘good, right?’ while admiring the spread of champagne, Mimosas, quiche, bacon, pancakes and salad laid out.
‘Well done,’ he assured. ‘You did a great job. I love it.’
He can also be seen proudly looking on and raising a glass as the Duchess thanks those in attendance for ‘loving her so much and celebrating with her.’
