Meghan Markle reveals her royal wedding day makeup secrets on MyShop store for a cut of the profits

Meghan Markle is dishing out her makeup secrets used in her extravagant wedding to Prince Harry in 2018 on her newly launched online shop.
But while the advice is free, the Duchess of Sussex is set to cash in on the sales of luxury makeup brands.
Meghan added a range of products to her online store that’s listed on ShopMy, a customizable storefront where influencers can post their recommended products.
The section titled ‘The Wedding Edit’ is where the duchess showcased ten products from Dior, Tatcha and Mac.
Just this week, Meghan’s longtime makeup artist Daniel Martin revealed that when she married Harry in Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018, she wore ‘a lot of Tatcha’, adding that it was Dior back then – implying that the products listed on her online store were also used for her wedding.
Although the recommendations on Meghan’s favorite products are free to view, a disclaimer on her site states that some products ‘may contain commissionable links’, meaning she’ll get a cut from the sale.

According to ShopMy’s website, commission for products range from ten to 30 percent depending on the retailer and the website will convert affiliate links when the creator lists the product on their page.
The potential products the duchess could cash in on range from a $25 ‘spice colored Mac Lip Liner pencil to a $72 Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream – which comes from the skincare line of the duchess’s friend Vicy Tsai.
There is also a $40 Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush and a $52 Dior Backstage eyeshadow palette.
Meghan’s other listed section titled ‘Beauty’ features 25 items ranging from creams to cleansers. When consumers click on the links, they’re redirected to purchase the product through stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Sephora.
The addition of the wedding range shows that Meghan, 43, is continuing to monetize her connection to the British royal family despite her and Harry having stepped back from being working members of the royal family and fleeing to the US in 2020.

The wedding makeup recommendations is a call back to the day she tied the knot with Prince Harry at Windsor Castle in 2018

The couple were highly critical of the royals in their 2022 documentary Harry & Meghan and their interview with Oprah Winfrey, where Meghan claimed one member of the royal household made racist remarks about their son Archie.
It is unclear how much Meghan stands to make from each item, however experts have said that over time she could earn a fortune.
‘She could potentially earn millions from this and is probably earning a commission on every sale she makes,’ money and business coach Maddy Alexander-Grout told DailyMail.com.
She added: ‘If you take on average how many followers she has (2.6 million) and how much engagement she has, I would imagine based on her following that she will have thousands and thousands of people buying these things and she will be making a fair amount of that.
‘She is going to make a fair amount based on what the clothes are worth. If she gets say 15% off a shirt that’s £128, she will be making £19.20. She will be selling thousands of those and could be making at least £19k from one linen shirt.’
Among the more expensive items in the beauty section is an $88 Root Replenish Active Growth Serum from Highbrown hippy.

In a conversation with Meghan posted to Instagram this week, Martin said he would be happy to reveal what makeup she was wearing on her wedding day.
He said: ‘Oh yeah, it’s been six years now. It was basically a lot of Tatcha. And I mean, I was with Dior then, so a lot of the Backstage had just launched.’
He added that Meghan’s whole face ‘was pretty much Dior Backstage’.
Two Dior Backstage palettes are indeed included in the ‘Wedding Edit’ section of the website – one for the face and another for the eyes.

Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow Gwyneth Paltrow scotched rumors of a feud between them in an Internet post on Tuesday
Martin has previously said that he deliberately chose to accentuate Meghan’s freckles during the wedding.
He has claimed that afterwards, Harry came up to him and ‘kept saying thank you’ for making her look so good.
Meghan got an image boost earlier this week from Gwyneth Paltrow, who scotched rumors of a feud between them by asking the Duchess to appear in an Instagram post.
In the clip, Paltrow, who some thought had been mocking the duchess’s TV series with her more carefree posts on Instagram, asked if anyone thought she was really upset with her.
Paltrow then panned the camera around to reveal Meghan sitting in her kitchen and shrugging her shoulders.
