One thing about Meghan Markle that nobody can argue with: the woman knows how to dress. Defined by clean, tailored silhouettes, soft neutrals and elevated basics, it’s the type of wardrobe that oozes quiet luxury and sophistication – exactly as you’d expect from a duchess. 

Unsurprisingly, she’s not really what we’d call a bargain hunter. Markle’s favourite brands include Givenchy, Dior and Celine, where everyday staples will set you back four figures, let alone outerwear. It means we’re used to seeing the Duchess wear a fantastic outfit, hunting down its source, and sadly realising unless a lottery win is in our future, we’re never going to be able to afford it. 

We expected much the same when we saw a snap of Markle on her recent trip to Jordan with Prince Harry, wearing a beautiful high-neck, button-up jacket. With contrast stitching and statement buttons, we initially assumed it was a Toteme buy – only to discover (after a whole lot of Google lens searching) the coat was from high-street hero Zara. 

Markle’s wool-blend coat is from Zara’s premium ZW Collection, and is on the pricier end of the brand’s offerings at £109. But for a high-quality wool-blend and Duchess approved design, we still reckon that’s a stellar deal.
