Meghan Markle gushes over ‘sweet’ surprise from husband Prince Harry

Meghan Markle has revealed a ‘sweet’ surprise that husband Prince Harry organized for her while she was away from her family and staying in New York City.
The 43-year-old Suits actress is currently on the promo tour for her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, and decided to stop by The Drew Barrymore Show in Manhattan to discuss her latest venture.
During her time with Drew, 50, Meghan gave a cooking demonstration in the studio as the host asked her various questions, including: ‘When was the last time you were surprised and delighted?’
Meghan, who was dressed in a pair of high-waisted beige pants and a chic sleeveless sweater, revealed it was actually very recent.
‘Last night – and this morning – when I went back to my hotel, there was this sweet card from my kids and my husband saying, “we’re so proud of you mama and congrats on the show,” with flowers,’ she divulged.
‘And I just thought “okay here we go,” and I felt so loved,’ she said with a huge grin on her face.
Referring to Prince Harry, 40, she then added: ‘He had planned it in advance so that it was there when I got to my hotel room, it was really sweet.’
In an image shared online, a huge bouquet of roses can be seen alongside a handwritten card that reads: ‘Congratulations mumma! We love your show, and we love you!’

Archie appeared to have signed his own name at the bottom of the pink card and Prince Harry had written: ‘LILI,’ as well as ‘Papa.’
Elsewhere on the show, Meghan revealed that her two little ones, Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet, have picked up her husband’s British accent, even though they live in California now.
According to Us Weekly, Drew asked her about her ‘favorite thing’ that her kids do that reminds them of their dad.
‘Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say z-e-b-r-a and what else do they say?’ she said.
‘They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him and I think it’s adorable.’
The couple’s eldest, son Archie, was born in the United Kingdom when they were still working royals, while daughter Lilibet was born in California.
During the appearance, Meghan also spoke about how she makes sure to incorporate bedtime stories into her kid’s routines even while she’s traveling.

‘I always make it a point when I’m traveling if I can’t do bedtime stories with my kids because Archie and Lily are just three and five, so I’ll always pack a really thin book and I’ll videotape myself reading it,’ she explained.
‘So whoever’s with them or Papa can say, “Here’s mama reading your bedtime story”,’ she told mother-of-two Drew.
‘You find ways to show up for each other and if that’s the one thing that I can convey through the show, I want people to know you can show up for each other because you know how good it feels when someone shows up for you,’ Meghan added.
Her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show comes just two days after the premiere of With Love, Meghan.
That same day, she also opened up her As Ever lifestyle brand website to the public to share what products are in her lineup, which are expected to be released soon.
