Meghan Markle delivers her verdict on Suits LA as she prepares to launch her Netflix show With Love, Meghan

Meghan Markle rose to fame in the hit TV series Suits, playing the brilliant and beautiful Rachel Zane for seven seasons. 

Now that Suits LA has debuted on Peacock, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, is delivering a judicious verdict about the new legal drama. 

‘I love that it gets a new breath of fresh air,’ she told People in an interview promoting her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. 

When asked about having the royal, or any of the original Suits cast as part of Suits LA, creator Aaron Korsh was also judicious when he attended the show’s premiere in February. 

‘So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor,’ Korsh told the publication.

‘I think for me that’s a little… My brain blows up at the thought of that.’

‘So I think it blows up the world too much,’ he explained. 

‘Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.’

Suits LA  focuses on a law firm lead by former New York prosecutor Ted Black, who builds a practice in Los Angeles specializing in criminal defense and entertainment law.  One character, Erica Rollins, played by Lex Scott Davis, appears to be modeled somewhat on Rachel Zane.  

The original Suits has enjoyed a renewed enthusiasm from fans since in began streaming on Netflix. It is on the same streamer where Markle’s new show will debut on Tuesday. 

Based on the record breaking numbers Netflix received for 2022’s Harry and Meghan, With Love, Meghan, seems to have every chance for success.  

In the eight-episode reality series, Markle will host friends and famous guests, including actress Mindy Kaling, and chefs Alice Waters and Roy Choi, as they garden, do crafts and prepare recipes while telling personal stories. 

‘It feels as though we’re just spending time together, which is what it ended up being,’ she said of the experience. 

‘I’d make a recipe and say, “Everyone try this,” and there are certain dishes where you just watch everyone flock in. I’d say, “We’ve run out of spoons!” It ended up feeling so communal, and that’s the spirit of the show.’

Markle’s new product line will be on display in the show and will be for sale on the website asever.com. 

As for her Suits experience, Markle, is still close to her former co-stars, including Abigail Spencer. 

Regarding her character’s wardrobe, which was closely watched by fans during the series, the former actress revealed she still has one item of clothing from the show.

‘I still have the pencil skirt from the first episode! That’s the one thing I kept.’
