Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias ‘slammed a woman into a fence and swung at her’ at Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami game vs LAFC – where he was with Prince Harry on a star-studded guest list – before cops arrested him

Shocking details have emerged of the alleged incident that saw Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias arrested for felony domestic violence while watching Lionel Messi play in California last month.

TMZ Sports claims law enforcement officials say that Urias came up from behind a woman, put his arm around her and slammed her into a fence, pulling her hair.

The publication also says that the woman had strangulation marks on her neck and that Urias apparently swung at her, although it is not clear if he made contact.

The 27-year-old Urias was arrested at the scene and he posted $50,000 bail.

Before the game began, Urias was listed on a widely-circulated star-studded guest list of celebrities who had attended the game to see Lionel Messi in action for Inter Miami. It included Prince Harry, Leonardo DiCaprio and Selena Gomez.

TMZ claims that the woman Urias was with became upset at him posing for pictures with female fans who recognized him at the Major League Soccer game.

Exposition Park public safety said its officers arrested Urias at about 11pm. on Sunday inside the park, which is home to the stadium. That would have been around an hour after the game had ended – with full time coming around 10pm.

The 27-year-old Mexican-born pitcher was arrested in May 2019 for domestic battery. Urias was suspended 20 games by MLB, but he wasn’t prosecuted by the Los Angeles city attorney on the condition he complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling program.

Urias has not played for the Dodgers since his arrest at the start of September. At the time, his team said in a statement: ‘We are aware of an incident involving Julio Urias. While we attempt to learn all the facts, he will not be traveling with the team.’

Urias last played for the Dodgers on September 1, two days before the incident allegedly occurred.

Reports at the time of his arrest said he would face a court hearing on September 27 – this coming Wednesday.
