With tailored cuts in a simple shade, royal ladies have been adding an effective new weapon to their style arsenal – the stylish white two-piece.

Whether sharply tailored like Kate or purposely over-sized like the versions worn by Meghan, the effect is the same: fresh and bright, yet work-wear at its most regal.

If there’s something inherently bold about wearing one pure colour, it’s also the case that white suits many skin tones.

And because the light reflects of it, it’s flattering, too. 

On top of all that, a pristine white suit remains a blank canvas for the royals to accessorise – and showcase their polished beauty.

The Princess of Wales brought some glamour to the Rugby World Cup re-wearing one of her favourite Alexander McQueen suits to the Stade de Marseille in France for this month’s rugby World Cup. 

Previously seen at last year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the chic £1690 blazer and £950 wide leg trousers were layered over a simple white H&M top and accessorised with a Massimo Dutti clutch and Jimmy Choo heels for an all-over white look.
