LA boutique owner is harassed by ‘deranged’ Meghan Markle’s fans who call him up to 20 times a day after he named her ‘villain of the year’

The owner of an exclusive Los Angeles boutique has revealed that he has been ‘harassed’ by ‘deranged’ fans of Meghan Markle after he named her a ‘villain of the year’.
Fraser Ross says members of the so-called Sussex Squad have not taken kindly to him putting her in a rogues’ gallery of 2025 ‘holiday hypocrites’ in the window of Kitson department store.
In the picture the Duchess of Sussex is wearing a Santa hat with ‘Montecito Diva’ emblazoned across it.
One irate supporter of Meghan called around 20 times in one day to berate him – so Mr Ross responded by saying the duchess was there on merit and he believes she would enjoy the attention.
Fraser is standing firm on his description of Meghan as a ‘holiday hypocrite’ and hopes that it will ‘knock some sense’ into her.
‘We have been getting harassed by Meghan Markle fans. We told them we do this every year and she won one of the spots’, he said.
‘One called the store 20 times to say we “weren’t nice”. She was deranged.’
He added: ‘Hopefully a retail store can knock some sense into Meghan because her “yes people” are making people dislike her more.’

Shop owner Fraser Ross, pictured with Lindsay Lohan, says Meghan’s fans have been contacting them repeatedly to complain
Fraser said Meghan made it into his ‘villain of the year’ window display because his customers and Instagram followers wanted her there.
They cited their disdain for her and Harry’s criticism of the Royal Family and her estrangement from her father Thomas, who has just had a leg amputated in the Philippines.
Fraser told the Daily Mail he agrees with their assessment – but since putting her in the display, some of her supporters have turned nasty.
He went on: ‘Two months ago we asked out followers who should be on the windows and Meghan’s name [repeatedly] came up and they stated reasons.’
The trendy shop in Robertson Blvd, located between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, has named Meghan as one of 2025’s villains along with California Governor Gavin Newsom, George Clooney and Katy Perry.
Mr Ross added: ‘It’s also the Gavin Newsom fans that are a problem’.
Kitson’s so-called ‘Holiday hypocrisy window display’ has become famous in Los Angeles since in began in 2020.
This year Meghan makes the list and she is featured in a mocked-up magazine cover where she and other public figures are made to look silly in Santa hats.

Katy Perry also makes the shop window, with particular focus on her new relationship with Justion Trudeau
George Clooney also makes the gallery of stars
Politicians Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass are also featured this year
Meghan’s cover features headlines where she and Harry were branded the ‘most unpopular kids in school’ because they are ‘disliked by Americans’.
Another is about how Meghan’s As Ever jam is made in a factory 2,000 miles from her home in California, and another claiming she flouted a ‘no dogs rule’ at a Montecito farmer’s market by bringing a pet.
There was also a nod to a recent Harper’s Bazaar feature revealing how she was announced like royalty to a room with one person in it.
Most recently her decision to wear $82,000 of jewellery on her Netflix holiday special is also cited.
And there is a disparaging headline claiming Meghan is a hypocrite because she ‘won’t let go of her royal status‘.
Alongside her in the shop’s windows are Meghan’s near-neighbour Katy Perry, whose cover is mainly about her new partner Justin Trudeau.
One disparaging headline criticises her decision to date ‘the man who made a whole country hate him’ – a nod to the end of his premiership in Canada this year.

It is not the first time the popular store has taken aim at the royals.
After Megxit they encouraged shoppers to choose sides in the family row.
The store that famously asked shoppers to pick sides in the Jen and Brad break-up with Team Aniston and Team Jolie shirts in 2005, started offering up ‘Team Harry & Meghan’ and ‘Team William & Kate’ t-shirts so buyers could back their favorite royal couple in 2020.
The shirts sold for $38 each.
Kitson owner Fraser Ross said customers backed Kate and William by two to one.
The original cotton jerseys were a reaction to the shocking split of golden couple Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt in 2005 as a result of Pitt’s relationship with his Mr & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.
Back then, ‘It girls’ like Paris and Nicky Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and more picked sides and were photographed supporting their favorite celebrity in the break-up.
The first day the Kate & William and Meghan & Harry shirts were on the shelves, one woman bought eight of each, saying, ‘I’m going to let my party guests decide who they like!’
