Gwyneth Paltrow reveals how she feels about neighbor Meghan Markle amid backlash over new Netflix show

Goop goddess Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed how she really feels about Meghan Markle – especially after all the backlash she’s gotten for her new Netflix show.
Earlier this month, Meghan released her eight-episode series, With Love, Meghan, on the streaming platform, as she welcomed a flurry of famous friends into a rented home in Montecito, California, teaching them how to make certain recipes and home décor items.
The show, which has already been renewed for a second season, saw famous faces like comedian Mindy Kaling and Suits actress Abigail Spencer.
Along with the show, the duchess is also launching a line of baking products, branded under the name ‘As Ever.’
The items include raspberry spread, limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb, crepe mix and flower sprinkles.
But as Meghan has ventured into the lifestyle space, many have compared her to the likes of Gwyneth, debating whether or not As Ever will measure up to Goop.
And, interestingly enough, Gwyneth and Meghan live quite close to each other in the small area of Montecito.
However, The Avengers actress is blocking out the noise when it comes to critics of her neighbor.

‘I don’t know Meghan and Harry,’ Gwyneth divulged to Vanity Fair in a new interview published Tuesday.
‘I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all,’ she continued. ‘Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.’
The actress admitted that she hadn’t seen the duchess’ new show, but is not feeling any competition between the two.
She told Vanity Fair that when ‘there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.’
The mom-of-two told the outlet that she embraces bringing Meghan, and others, into the wellness and lifestyle space.
‘I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,’ Gwyneth said.
‘I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try,’ she continued.
Gwyneth explained that some of this comes from her mother, Blythe Danner, who once scolded her when she was just 19 years old, and was complaining about losing out to a role, which was filled by another actor.

She remembered that her mom told her, ‘Another woman is never your competition,’ and ‘what is right for you will find you.’
But now that Gwyneth has made room for Meghan, could there be a chance she joins her for an episode on the second season of With Love, Meghan?
Meghan made the announcement that the show was renewed via Instagram just a few days after it premiered, as she shared a video of snippets from various episodes.
‘If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!’ the mom-of-two wrote in the caption.
‘Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!’ her message continued, as she tagged the Netflix Instagram account.
