Goodreads reveal the 76 most popular books of the past decade, from Prince Harry’s controversial biography Spare to Sally Rooney (so, how many have you read?)
Prince Harry‘s memoir Spare, Coleen Hoover’s Ugly Love, and Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies are among the most popular books of the last ten years, according to Goodreads.
The list of 76 books includes a mix of memoirs, gripping thrillers, self-help books and historical fiction with writers from the UK, Japan, Ireland, US and further afield included.
Trevor Noah‘s biography, about growing up mixed race in apartheid South Africa, joins memoirs from both Michelle and Barack Obama as well Michelle Zauner’s memoir Crying in H Mart – about the loss of her mother – in the non-fiction category.
Former child star’s Jennette McCurdy‘s provocative memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died – about her abusive late mother and When Breath Becomes Air by neurosurgeon Paul Kalanithi also made the cut.
Kristin Hannah has three books on the list, as does Sally Rooney, while Taylor Jenkins Reid, the brains behind Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones & the Six, has four books on the list.
Gabrielle Zevins’ Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Taylor Jenkins Reid’ Carrie Soto is back are on the list

Films seem to play a key role in the selection of well-read books as dozens listed had blockbuster adaptations.
Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies (and A Husband’s Secret, which is currently under adpation and set to star Blake Lively) is among the books on the list.
The book was adapted by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and won dozens of Emmys and Golden Globes thanks to its A-list cast including Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep.
Little Fires Everywhere, also adapted by Reese Witherspoon, made the cut, as did Celeste Ng’s first book Everything I Never Told you.
Where the Crawdads Sing – which was made into a film starring Daisy Edgar-Jones – Girl on the Train (made into a film starring Emily Blunt) and Lesson in Chemistry – the adaptation of which is currently on Apple TV were all among the titles.
