If you’re looking for inspiration for your Christmas Day outfit, Kate Middleton’s stylish festive pieces are a great place to start. Back in 2022, Kate sported a Fair Isle Knit by Holland Cooper as she was pictured hanging baubles on a Christmas tree and you can emulate her look for your own celebrations this year.
The designer Nordic chic knitted jumper is £179, however we’ve found a similar style at Roman that will set you back less than £40. Roman’s Ivory Pearl Embellished Printed Jumper is £38 and features a comparable statement embroidered trim on the neckline.
Stocked in sizes ten to 20, the ‘very comfortable’ jumper is just the thing to wear while snuggled on the sofa, visting Christmas markets, or going on a seasonal walk.
While the Roman jumper has a different neckline to Kate’s Holland Cooper buy, at £141 cheaper, it’s a worthy compromise. Shoppers have been singing the praises of the jumper, taking to the Roman website to share their feedback.
One person said: “I love this jumper. It is really cosy but looks very special. I will wear it in Christmas Day.”
Another wrote: “I already have this jumper in pink and it’s comfortable, soft and warm. I love the white version too and will definitely get plenty of use out of this in the winter.”
A third person explained: “Love this style of jumper but feel this one looks a little more subtle then some and the cream colour is gentle and flattering and it will go with lots and looks cosy too.”
However, the Roman jumper may not be as soft as Kate’s designer buy as they are made from different materials. Roman’s offering contains no real wool, whereas the Holland Copper jumper is crafted with 21% wool.
