Princess of Wales now sounds ‘posher’ than Prince William after she had several rounds of elocution lessons, Omid Scobie’s new book claims

Kate Middleton now speaks ‘posher’ than her husband Prince William thanks to numerous elocution lessons, Omid Scobie‘s new book claims. 

US-based British journalist Scobie makes several controversial claims in Endgame, the bombshell book released yesterday about the royal family.

The author says the Middletons had a strategy which involved ‘calculatingly placing Kate right at the centre of young William’s world’ by pursuading her to take a gap year then study at St Andrews with the Prince – rather than take a place at Edinburgh University. 

And the book says: ‘Kensington Palace has never denied that Kate had several rounds of elocution lessons as she became more serious with William.

‘Friends have noted over the years that her accent now sounds ‘posher’ and ‘even more plummy’ than her husband’s.’

The book has been written by Omid Scobie, who is known for his close association with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Scobie also used his book to launch an astonishing and cruel attack on the Princess of Wales, branding her ‘cold’ and lambasting her for ‘advocating for mental health causes while ignoring Meghan’s cries for help’.

Harry and Meghan’s ‘cheerleader-in-chief’ claimed Kate ‘shivers’ whenever Meghan’s name is brought up and hasn’t spoken to her since 2019.

He claims the Princess of Wales has never had interest in being friends with her sister-in-law and branded her a ‘Stepford-like royal wife’ and the monarchy’s ‘last shiny thing for many years to come’.

In a scathing chapter dedicated to the future Queen, Scobie says the royal earned the nickname ‘Katie Keen’ and claimed the late Queen liked her because she was ‘coachable’ unlike the ‘strong-minded’ Princess Diana. 

Scobie added that Kate ‘glides under the radar’ because she’s ‘never challenged the system with public struggles or oversized aspirations’.

He adds she is ‘comfortable in her role’ and ‘willing to bring the requisite smile and elegance to her duties as princess’.

‘At the very least the institution ignored Meghan when she was in pain. It’s a dismal record, and with William now openly claiming his mother was essentially too paranoid to speak the truth, it proves the institution still operates under the principle that women not born into the family are, ultimately, disposable.’

He claims her workload is lower than other senior members of The Firm – which he says makes her ‘technically a part time working royal’.

Scobie‘s colourful career started as a celebrity reporter before his rapid rise into the public eye as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s ‘cheerleader-in-chief’. 

But two decades later he has released his second explosive royal book Endgame, following 2020’s biography of the Sussexes, Finding Freedom. 

Posting on X last Thursday about his book, Mr Scobie wrote: ‘And let’s get this nonsense out the way – #ENDGAME is about the current state of the British Royal Family.

‘It’s not ”Harry and Meghan’s book”, I’m not ”Meg’s pal”, the Sussexes have nothing to do with it, their story is a small part of a much bigger one you can read in 12 days.’
