Meghan’s ‘power dressing’ colour! Duchess dons brown shades AGAIN at the Invictus Games – after stylist revealed she opts for ‘calm’ tan outfit tones ‘ahead of announcements’
The Duchess of Sussex stole the show on the fourth day of the Invictus Games as she appeared alongside Prince Harry in yet another show-stopping outfit – and according to a style expert, it could mean an announcement is on the horizon.
The mother-of-two, 42, opted for a monochrome ensemble with two-tones of brown, while wearing £1200 wide-leg silk trousers from Gabriel Hearst, which she previously sported to the One Young World roundtable in 2022.
While she has opted for inexpensive high street looks in her last few appearance, the Duchess went high end today – and paired the look with £165 oversized Miu Miu sunglasses and a £365 Dani Blouse from L’agence.
Showing off her natural beauty, the royal let her hair long and loose and sported a natural make-up look while boosting her height with £590 heels from Manolo Blahnik.
As Meghan beamed alongside her husband while they met with NATO officials and then headed off to watch the volleyball, her shirt and trousers combo demonstrated yet again that tan, camel and brown shades are her power colours.

The Duchess, who arrived in Dusseldorf on Tuesday evening to join Prince Harry, has opted for all-brown outfits for public engagements on several occasions, dating back to her time as a working royal when she lived in Frogmore Cottage on the Kensington Palace Estate with Prince Harry.
In January 2020, Meghan sported a stunning jumper and skirt combo, paired with suede pumps and a tailored coat, all in different shades of camel, copper and tan.
She wore a £345 coat from Reiss with a £50 polo neck and £85 skirt from Massimo Dutti for her appearance in London.
At the time, stylist Lucas Armitage told FEMAIL that her choice of colour was a ‘power dressing move’ – because just hours after the appearance, she and Pricne Harry announced they were stepping down as senior royals and moving to the US.
He said: ‘Meghan is using traditional power dressing pieces to assert an authority and grounding them in relaxed colours to show a level of calm.’

Ahead of the Sussexes’ announcement in 2020 that they were stepping down as senior royals, Meghan arrived in London to meet the High Commissioner in a power outfit comprised of different shades of brown
The look was remarkably similar to one she wore the previous October, when the Duchess stepped out in £95 trench coat dress from Banana Republic for a morning meeting at the University of Johannesburg.
It was later that day that Prince Harry launched an attack on the on the British media as he accused the press of ‘bullying’ and ‘relentless propaganda’.
Royal reporter Elizabeth Holmes speculated about the shift on her own Instagram page, writing: ‘It’s the ultimate dressing-for-the-slideshow moment.’
And stylist Lucas revealed the sartorial choice was likely intentional, saying: ‘The camel coat is a similar sartorial choice she has made time and time again before breaking controversial news.’
He went on to explain that even the tones of brown may have been an important choice for the royal.
He said: ‘Camel is neutral tone and often seen as a calming and pure tone.
‘As a stylist, camel seems like a great colour tone to employ as it’s less serious and somber then most hues and isn’t too attention grabbing like bolder colour choices.’
Last month, the Duke and Duchess appeared in a loved-up video in which they surprised young future leaders in the US with phone calls. Sitting together in a love seat in the sun-steeped garden of their Montecito home, the couple were filmed as they made congratulatory phone calls to the winners of their new safer technology grant.
In the video, the Duchess stunned in a structured tan outfit with a high, ruched neckline and sharp tailored lines. She opted for a camel $162 tube skirt with matching sleeveless $189 top from Malibu brand Bleusalt.
And it could be determined that Meghan was once again making a statement with her stunning outfit, as it was the first time the couple had been seen amid mounting speculation about their future in Hollywood and rumoured strains behind the scenes.
By appearing in the video, beamed as they discussed a subject they are passionate about – putting to bed any rumours of trouble.
