When it comes to watches, it can often feel like you’re forced to choose between two things: fashion or function. Smart watches are everywhere now, and while it’s incredibly useful to track all your stats, so many of them are clunky, bulky looking gadgets that you wouldn’t necessarily want to wear outside of the gym.
But luckily, the tides are slowly turning – like this LIGE Smart Watch for men, which looks for all its life like a fancy watch. And yet, it does so much more than tell the time – and it’s currently reduced on Amazon from £54.99 to £38.63. This is for the all black version – it also comes in different colours, so it’s worth checking them out too (particularly as some models are reduced even further).
The watch has everything you’d want from a smart tracker – it has a touch AMOLED screen, health monitoring (including heart rate, stress and sleep tracking), it can answer calls with an integrated microphone and speaker, and so much more. If you’re the kind of person who gets bored easily, this is the gadget for you, as it has over 200 watch faces to choose from – so you can tailor it to how you’re feeling on any given day.
The metal strap gives the watch a chic, timeless feel – but it’s still waterproof, so it’ll withstand any adventures you go on. Plus, it comes with a silicone strap you can swap out if you’re doing something a bit more active. One of the most annoying things about a smart watch is having to constantly charge it – a problem you certainly don’t get with a traditional timepiece – but this device has up to 10 days of daily use, which is pretty decent.
With 2,464 ratings on Amazon, the watch has clocked up an impressive 4.1 stars. “It is a very nice-looking watch and has an expensive feel. I have found the screen to be crisp and super easy to read in bright sunlight and good response rate. The screen is big enough to easily read everything without my glasses, but not so big it dwarfs my wrist. The set-up was super easy and in my opinion very intuitive,” one happy shopper enthused.
A second wrote: “It looks great and does everything I need from a smart watch, very reasonably priced, I honestly can’t fault it.” While a third chimed in: “Great looking product with many functions other than the usaul health checks and phone capabilities. It does everything I need, I am pleased with this product.”

However, some less pleased customers shared some critiques in the comment section.” You should be able to respond to messages, instead of just being able to read them,” one reviewer complained – but you’ll find that’s the case with most smart watches on the market.
Another wrote: “The only letdown for me is you can’t turn off the step counter. I drive a fork lift truck for my job and as I’m driving backwards and forwards all day the step counter thinks I’m walking cause of the relatively slow speed I’m driving.” Which is admittedly quite a niche problem to have.
If you wanted to splash a whole lot more cash on a smart watch, the Apple Watch is a market leader for a reason – but prices for the Series 9 model start from £399. For something at a similar price point, the REFLEX ACTIVE Series 12 Smart Watch costs £39.95 from Currys.
