Duchess Sophie has delivered another lesson in practical royal dressing, stepping out at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in a pair of seriously wearable summer shoes that are currently on sale. The royal, 61, joined the Duke of Edinburgh for a visit to Team England House at The Social Hub in Glasgow on day nine of the Games last month, keeping things relaxed in a crisp white trousers and Tom’s Valencia espadrilles.
Better still, her exact shoes usually have an RRP of £70, but Amazon has slashed around £29 off the price, meaning shoppers can currently pick up the royal-approved style for just over £40. The white canvas shoes sit somewhere between a trainer and a traditional espadrille, combining an easy slip-on silhouette with a chunky rope-wrapped platform that adds a little height without the discomfort of a heel.
Frayed detailing gives them a relaxed finish, while the crisp white colour makes them incredibly easy to style with everything from linen trousers and dresses to jeans and shorts.
Comfort hasn’t been forgotten either. They feature a rubber outsole and removable ‘OrthoLite EcoLT-Hybrid’ insole designed for added comfort and breathability, while the platform measures approximately one-and-a-half inches.
