Kris Jenner shows support for Meghan Markle as she shares Duchess’ As Ever Mother’s Day range on Instagram following THAT ‘photogate’ row

Kris Jenner has shown support for the Duchess of Sussex‘s latest As Ever collection following their ‘photogate’ scandal.

The reality star thanked Meghan on Instagram yesterday after she received a PR parcel filled with items from the former actress’s Mother’s Day range, which included candles inspired by her children and a £42 box of chocolates.

Their interaction follows Kris’ 70th party being overshadowed by a mystery over why photos of the Duke and Duchess were deleted from social media 48 hours after they were posted by the birthday girl and her daughter Kim Kardashian.

Kim later claimed that Harry and Meghan had changed their minds about being included in the Instagram posts and wanted them ‘taken down’ because they didn’t want to be seen ‘partying’ the night before Remembrance Sunday.

But it seems the saga, which sparked a global media storm and made waves in Hollywood, hasn’t impacted Kris’ support for the Duchess.

Her shoutout yesterday isn’t the first time that the American reality TV star has promoted Meghan’s lifestyle business on her social media account – having also previously shared snaps of the mother-of-two’s jams and wine collections.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Kris wrote: ‘Thank you @meghan @aseverofficial for the beautiful Mother’s Day gifts! These candles smell so delicious!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!’

The snap showed a navy As Ever package filled with the two new candles, which pay tribute to Meghan’s children, as well as a box of chocolates from her collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.

It also included a handwritten note from the Duchess which read: ‘Dear Kris, Happy Mother’s Day to the most maternal woman in the world.’

Meghan reshared Kris’ story to her As Ever Instagram account.

In January, Kim finally revealed that it was Meghan and Harry who apparently asked for pictures of them at Kris’ 70th birthday party to be deleted from social media because it was the night before Remembrance Sunday.

The vanishing images sparked a storm online amid confusion about who had demanded their removal from Instagram last November.

But two months on Kim, 45, said that it was Meghan and Harry’s decision. ‘I think they realised it was Remembrance Day and they didn’t want to be seen at a party’, she said.

Kim was also absolutely clear that the images had been shared online with the Sussexes’ consent, explaining: ‘We were told that it was totally cool to post. We’re never ones to post without permission. It’s not who we are’.

Candid photos from the party showed the Duke and Duchess cosying up to Kris – who they met through mutual friend Ellen DeGeneres at a party four years ago – at her milestone 70th birthday celebration in November.

In one image Harry was seen sashaying towards her on the dancefloor in Beverly Hills at the James Bond-themed bash thrown for Kris by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez at their $165million estate.

The Duke was wearing a poppy on his lapel – but his wife had not worn one.

But hours later all images of the Sussexes partying with stars and the birthday girl were mysteriously ‘scrubbed’ from social media by Kris and Kim – but only after they had already shared them with their millions of Instagram followers.

‘I think they realised it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down.

‘And then I think they realized, like, “oh, this was so silly”,’ Kim told her sister Khloe as they discussed the so-called ‘photogate’ row for the first time on the Khloe In Wonder Land podcast.

People magazine, the Sussexes’ preferred publication in the US, claimed that Meghan and Harry asked that no photographs of them inside the party were published.

The publication also claimed it was understood that the Sussexes ticked a ‘no’ box on a photo consent form, leading to the party images of them being removed.

But a source close to the event then strongly refuted the claim to the Daily Mail, saying ‘there were no consent forms’ – with another insider close to Kris insisted her guests were her friends and family, and she would never have asked for something like this.

There was also confusion because photos of the Sussexes at a charity event earlier in the same day had not been deleted.

Kim added that while Prince Harry and Meghan were photographed attending the Baby2Baby charity gala the same evening, there was a distinction to be made.

‘That was fine, but maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever,’ Kim noted. ‘So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.’

‘It was really innocent, which is so crazy,’ Kim added. ‘Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.’

While photos of Harry and Meghan were deleted, Kris’ photos with the likes of Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Mark Zuckerberg, Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey and hosts Mr Bezos and Lauren Sanchez remained on her social media.

Kim emphasised that the entire saga left her feeling a bit disappointed.

‘If we just made it light and made it funny, you know, I think it would have been, like, received differently,’ she said.

‘But I hated how that was received for everyone. That sucks. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.’

But shortly after photogate, Kris gave a show of support for Meghan by sharing a trailer for her Netflix Christmas special.

The ‘momager’ reposted an advert on Instagram for the festive edition of With Love, Meghan ahead of its release on the streaming platform, which launched on December 3.

Meghan’s connection to Kris was first seen in August 2023, when the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland unexpectedly crossed paths with the business woman and her daughter Kim at a charity event in LA.

Then in March 2024, Harry went on a ski trip with Kris’ boyfriend Corey Gamble, while a month later, Meghan sent the momager an exclusive first taste of her fruit preserves. She sent more gifts from her lifestyle brand last summer to the household.

Kris proudly displayed on her Instagram a jar of Meghan’s jams from her lifestyle brand – and it wouldn’t be the last gift that the reality TV star received from the Duchess.

The Kardashian matriarch shared a photo on her Stories of a present the Duchess had sent in August 2025 – bottles of her 2024 Napa Valley Rosé wine from her As Ever range.

In addition to sharing a photo of the wine on her social media, Kris tagged both Meghan’s Instagram account as well as As Ever’s, saying, ‘thank you’.

The Duchess also sent Khloe Kardashian a deluxe hamper from her brand, which included bottles of wine, preserves and an array of vegetables.

However, when Khloe shared snaps from sister Kylie Jenner’s 28th birthday party over the weekend, including a picture of the hamper, she seemingly forgot to tag Meghan in the post.

That didn’t stop the former senior royal from delightedly reposting the snap, writing ‘Hey hey, all my girls with a K’ on the post, but fans called out the famed family’s failure to acknowledge Meghan.
