I used £35 hair growth serum for 30 days and it reshaped my hairline

One of the things I have learned while living in the UK is the horrible effects of hard water. It is flagged as a contributing factor to hair loss and, after a recent bald patch scare, I decided to take care of my scalp health by using Glow For It Hair Growth Serum for a month as a preventative measure. It’s available at Beauty Bay for £34.95.
A new study by hard water expect Aspect has revealed that Kent is the English county with the hardest water, making it the most likely area for residents to experience hair and skin damage. As an example, out of the 32 London boroughs, 9% had hard water, 91% had very hard water and Barnet scored the highest at 327 parts per million (ppm) – traditionally ‘very hard water’ is anything over 250 ppm.
Glow For It’s award-winning serum is lightweight and non-greasy and it absorbs quickly on the scalp, making it perfect for daily use on dry and wet hair. The formula includes panthenol to help provide smoother texture to reduce hair breakage, zinc pca to regular sebum production and combat dandruff, clover flower extract to stop hair loss and other hair growth boosters.
Caffeine is added to stimulate hair follicles to prolong the active growth phase while rosemary essential oils work to increase circulation to the scalp and multi-peptide to strength existing hair.
Champo’s Pitta Growth Serum is another popular choice that features caffeine and peptides and a 30ml version is available for £34; UKHair by UKLash’s hair growth serum, £40, also targets hair loss concerns by promoting healthy scalp with AnaGain (pea sprout extract).
When I suffered from alopecia areata, Philip Kingsley’s Protein Spray helped regrowing my baby hair and I recovered my bald patch within three months. For a full review, you can read in details here.
The Glow For It hair growth serum does not have a particular scent. I followed the instructions and used one full pipette, dropping the liquid on my scalp and massaging it in. I tried it on dry hair along my hairline on the side where I spotted awkward gaps and I was pleased that it was quickly absorbed without leaving greasy residue on the strands.
However, compared to other brands the plastic bottle does feel a little cheap and there were a few times I almost knocked it over. But having that said, it kept my luggage lightweight when I took it on holiday with me. Having used it for 30 days, I preferred to use it on wet hair, after a shower. It did not affect any hair styling either whether I curled my hair or straightened it.
On a positive note, my hairline has transformed and I noticed baby hair sprouting at the front and on the side. It filled up the gaps and in general, friends have told me that my hair has grown so long. One even asked if I have been wearing hair extensions. Though my hair is heavily bleached for the balayage colours, I don’t find any split ends at all.
