Boots slashes anti-ageing LED face mask to under £50 in sale

LED light therapy is more accessible than ever as a number of wearable tech options have become available at wallet-friendly prices. Rather than forking out a fortune, Magnitone London’s Get Lit Tri Colour Face Mask is great for beauty fans on a budget – as it’s one of the few LED masks under £100.

Originally priced at £75, shoppers can now save one-third as Boots offers a price drop, marking it down to £49.99 online only. The visor-like mask offers red light, yellow light and blue light therapy to treat skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, blemishes, and scarring.

Last year, tech commerce editor Harriet Morphy-Morris tried the Magnitone Mask to tackle blemishes and scarring from her hormonal teenage years and she was impressed at the result after using it for three months.

Also under the £100 mark is this StylPro Wavelength LED Face Mask, currently priced at £99.99 on Amazon, it offers blue, red and near infrared light therapy in four different modes depending on the skin concerns. Debenhams has reduced the price of StarGate ClearSkin Glow II LED Mask for Face & Neck Skincare from £299.99 to £99.95.

The user-friendly transparent shield Magnitone LED mask is a 15-minute skincare treatment for blemishes, inflammations and skin elasticity. With red light (620-750nm) hitting the deepest layer under skin, it could stimulate collagen production for firmer skin.

Harriet noted: “As someone who is acne prone the blemish-busting blue light is a no-brainer and 15 minutes of this is said to help ‘decongest the skin’s surface’, a setting I’ve used most at night, after I’ve washed and cleansed off my daily makeup.

“Then comes my favourite, the glow-intensifying yellow-light, where the hint is in the name. This setting is said to ‘stimulate more blood flow to the skin’ which helps make your face appear more radiant and glowing.”

However as the mask is designed like a pair of glasses with shield, she added: “The one thing to point out is it does feel flimsy so I’d be careful.”

For a more secure fit, I would suggest Shark’s CryoGlow LED Mask (£299.99) that comes with two cooling plates for undereyes. The wide strap keeps the mask in place without retricting movement, plus shoppers can choose treatments using a remote control – myfull review is here.
