Viewers tuning into the Invictus Games joked that Meghan Markle was in full influencer mode as she filmed close-ups of Prince Harry while the couple watched the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Vancouver, Canada.
The Duchess, 43, packed on the PDA with her husband as they sat in the stands watching performances from the likes of Katy Perry and Chris Martin.
And inbetween touching moments – including Meghan planting a kiss on Harry and cheering on with a pair of blue pom-poms – the Duchess also made sure to capture moments from the Games to share with her 1.7million Instagram followers.
The former actress whipped out her phone and filmed from her seat, laughing and smiling before swinging the camera round on her husband of seven years.
Harry was seen smiling and clapping along to performances, as he took centre stage in the video captured by the Duchess – and those watching on joked the heartwarming clip would no doubt be on her social media in no time at all.
Holding her phone, in a lilac case, the mother-of-two appeared to be in her element as she caught on film the highlights of the game.
The wife of Prince Harry made her comeback on Instagram – after stepping away in 2020 – earlier this year, and now simply uses the handle @meghan.
Last week, the royal, who famously stepped away from public service in 2020 via Megxit, revealed to her followers that she had managed to get Billie Eilish merchandise for a fan affected by the wildfires.

Meghan’s filming may have been part of her determination to put on a loved-up display and body language expert Judi James, who analysed the couple’s interactions at the fanfare ceremony in Vancouver, said it was clear that the Duchess of Sussex was determined to put on a united front.
This week, the US president suggested he wouldn’t challenge Prince Harry about his immigration status, saying the royal had ‘enough problems with his wife’, wasping: ‘She’s terrible’.
James told MailOnline the message to Mr Trump on Saturday night was clear, saying: ‘When he made his derogatory comments about Harry and Meghan, Meghan’s body language response seemed to be ‘Hold my coat’ as she put on one of the most emphatic sets of bonding and adoration rituals ever.’
With all the gusto of a First Lady in the White House, the Duchess seemed to be very keen to show just how close the pair are, added the expert.
Meghan’s filming comes after she came under fire for a ‘false and orchestrated’ video earlier this month.
A social media expert claimed the Instagram Reel was a ‘clear nod to the “TikTok-ification” of content, as the Duchess of Sussex embraces a ‘personality-driven’ approach to her online presence.
On Meghan Tuesday uploaded an Instagram Reel where she thanked singer Billie Eilish for helping her out with a sweet request in the aftermath of the Los Angeles wildfires.
Meghan, who appeared to be make-up free, was dressed casually in a sweatshirt with her two children’s names on it, Lilibet and Archie, while showing off merch items the Ocean Eyes singer, 23, had sent for a fan whose home had burned down.
According to branding and PR expert Hayley Knight, the video presented as a ‘very stylistic, intentional attempt’ to connect with younger social media users and ‘place her relevance amongst them’.
Ms Knight noted how the video was ‘casually presented’ with Meghan holding up the camera to create a ‘candid, unedited look and feel’ – like the aesthetic content commonly found on TikTok ‘where authenticity and spontaneity are rewarded’.
Social media expert Estelle Keeber added the video is a ‘clear nod to the “TikTok-ification”‘ of content online, adding Meghan appears to be ‘tapping into a style that resonates’ with youngsters who ‘value authenticity over polished perfection’.

Ms Knight also highlighted that Meghan’s use of informal language ‘including mentioning that she feels “old”‘ suggests she is ‘trying to be relatable’ to younger audiences.
‘Her conversational tone is also intentional, as users on TikTok expect and appreciate relatability and direct communication from public figures,’ Ms Knight added.
She also suggested the ‘inclusion of overlaid text’ in the video is ‘reminiscent of TikTok’s format’ to make the content ‘more accessible’.
Meghan made a dramatic return to Instagram last month after posting her first clip to her new account, which is titled @meghan.
In the footage, that was filmed by Prince Harry, the Duchess could be seen walking towards a shoreline at the beach near Montecito.
Then she proceeded to draw the digits of the New Year – 2025 – into the sand, perhaps hinting an upcoming project.
Experts previously predicted Meghan could rake in $1million (£790,000) per post as ‘an absolute minimum’.
They also anticipated that her account launch could see her become one of the top ten highest-paid influencers in the world.

The return to Instagram comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex vowed never to return to social media after claiming to have dealt with an ‘almost unsurvivable’ amount of abuse.
Her old Instagram page titled meghanmarkle, which boasted three million followers, featured posts that were often personal and even political.
Meghan’s heartwarming filming and loved-up displays come as she supported her husband at the games.
The nine-day sporting event – created by Harry in 2014 for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women – will see more than 500 competitors from 23 countries come together.
This years games will include winter sports for the first time ever.
The games have previously been held in London in 2014, in Orlando in 2016, Toronto in 2017, Sydney in 2018, The Hague in 2022 and Dusseldorf in 2023.
The opening ceremony began with a parade of nations taking part in the week long event, with Germany, who hosted the 2023 games in Dusseldorf, first to enter the BC Place arena.
