Meghan and Harry spent staggering sum on Democratic Party operatives including ‘disinformation guru’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Democrat and left-leaning political operatives to counter ‘disinformation’.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent big through their charity The Archewell Foundation, including a $250,000 donation to a charity set up by former President Biden’s daughter Ashley in 2023, the year before it opened.

The donation to Ashley Biden’s Women’s Wellness Space, a charity to help women impacted by trauma, was the largest in a wave of cash the royals shelled out in recent years, according to documents viewed by the New York Post

A Democratic Party favorite ‘disinformation expert’, Joire Craig, 33, also raked in $146,500 from the Archewell Foundation in 2023.

Craig has reportedly been seen as the Democrats’ ‘go-to’ operative for ‘countering disinformation’, and the previous year she also took home $120,000 from Meghan and Harry’s charity.

The operative previously worked at Greenberg, Quinlan and Rosner, a Washington, DC, research firm that specializes in elections, where she rose to become its Vice President between 2018 and 2021.

According to reports, the company’s digital strategies during the last election focused on countering negative perceptions about Joe Biden‘s age and family.

The large donations to Democratic-aligned groups comes amid a public spat between Harry and President Trump, who recently announced he would not seek to deport the prince over his immigration status because ‘he’s got enough problems with his wife.’

Harry and Meghan’s apparent animosity toward America’s conservative side comes after his brother William, the future King of England, met with Trump shortly before Christmas

The two had a private meeting at the residence of the British ambassador to France after they visited the re-opening of the Notre-Dame, where Trump praised William as a ‘good man.’

The reported donations from The Archewell Foundation also included $25,000 to the Mercy Lab School in Brooklyn in 2022, which Craig had joined the board of last year.

In her LinkedIn page, Craig says she is an expert in ‘designed and deployed Smart Social Listening – strategies for political candidates, public officials, community leaders, and corporate leaders to stay on offense.’

Markup News Inc., a non-profit set up by Democrat megadonor George Soros’ Open Society Foundation and Craigslist founder Craig Newmark also reportedly received $90,000 from Archewell.

The foundation also shelled out $155,050 to Herlihy Loughran, a firm set up by former Buckingham Palace aides Beth Herlihy and Clara Loughran, for ‘programmatic strategic services’, reports say.

Nile Gardiner, a fellow at conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation, told the New York Post that he was calling for Meghan and Harry’s donations to be scrutinized by Congress.

‘Harry and Meghan still retain royal titles and should not be engaging in any way in political activity,’ he said.

‘It’s actually outrageous.’

In a statement to the outlet after the donations were revealed, a spokesperson for Meghan and Harry said criticism of the royals’ spending spree would be ‘misguided.’

‘It’s important to note The Duke and Duchess did not endorse any candidate in the [2024 presidential] election,’ they said.

‘And to suggest they’re trying to curry favor with the Democratic Party — simply because a donation went to Ashley Biden’s nonpartisan nonprofit focused on women’s mental health, or because they hired a consultant specializing in digital safety — is misguided.

‘The Duke and Duchess are committed to investing in people and initiatives that truly make a difference.’

The Archewell Foundation did not immediately respond to the DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
