Revealed: Cost of Meghan Markle’s VERY glamorous outfit as she makes brief cameo in Harry’s Netflix series

Meghan Markle cut an elegant figure in a white silk dress and heels while watching Prince Harry show off his polo skills in a new Netflix documentary series about the elitist sport.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex only make a brief cameo in Netflix’s Polo, which is co-produced by the couple’s Archewell Foundation, yet Meghan still manages to grab the attention of the camera in a sensationally stylish display.

Her blink-and-you-miss-it appearance comes at the beginning of episode five, when Harry takes part in a glitzy charity polo match for Sentebale, the charity he founded alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

Meghan, 42, is spotted sitting in a car boot while cheering for her husband from the sidelines.

The former Suits actress, who was joined at the event by her close friend Serena Williams, wore a $812 (£650) dress from California designer Heidi Merrick.

The royal, who has worn the designer before, paired the pleated white sundress with a statement bow and cut out back with a £2,650 Maison Valentino bag.

The One Stud White Leather Crossbody Bag is a favourite of Meghan’s who has worn it several times before.

Despite the grassy terrain, the Duchess chose to boost her height by adding a pair of £565 Aquazzura ‘Purist 105’ Nude Nappa Leather Pumps.

Finishing off the look, Meghan fittingly accessorised with £175 Heidi Merrick ‘Santa Barbara’ sunglasses, named after the town she and Harry live with their two children.

Adding a touch of glamour to the look, Meghan opted for a pair of vintage Chanel earrings, Princess Diana’s Cartier Gold Tank Française Watch, a £7,050 Cartier ‘Love’ Yellow Gold Bracelet, and her new favourite Ariel Gordon Diamond Hex Tennis bracelet, which is thought to be a Valentines’ gift from Harry.

Showing off her natural beauty, she opted for a lowkey make-up look, with a light layer of creamy foundation, coloured in eyebrows and black mascara.

Dressed in blue, Harry was part of the victorious Royal Salute Sentebale Team alongside Adolfo Cambiaso, Dana Barnes and Malcolm Borwick.

Harry co-founded Sentebale alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006, with the aim of helping vulnerable children in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi, including those who are affected by extreme poverty and the HIV and AIDS epidemic.

The charity has been closely intertwined with the sport of polo for years, with the Duke regularly taking part in charity matches held in aid of Sentebale causes.

The documentary goes on to show the couple enjoying a celebratory kiss – with Meghan presenting Harry with the trophy as they packed on the PDA for the Netflix crew.

The new Netflix series was released after it was reported bosses at the streaming company were disappointed over Harry and Meghan’s limited screentime in it.

A source told MailOnline that Netflix – who signed an $80 million deal with the couple’s Archewell Productions – expected ‘more bang for its buck’.

The new series, which hardly features Harry and Meghan, has been nicknamed ‘the Nacho show’ behind-the-scenes because it focuses primarily on the Argentinian player.

Harry and Meghan signed a five-year deal in 2020 for several shows, but one Hollywood producer told MailOnline: ‘What Netflix have received in return doesn’t look great. People want personal stuff.

‘Apart from their documentary series, which had the drama of them quitting the Royal Family, everything else they’ve produced has been underwhelming.

‘Any reasonable person tuning into a show about polo made by Prince Harry would expect Harry to take a starring role.

‘That he’s not is hugely disappointing for Netflix. Let’s face it, polo isn’t exactly a mainstream sport so the attraction would have been watching Harry.

‘Without him, it’s marginal at best.

‘The Netflix deal expires next year, so the Sussexes need a big hit. This sounds like a big nothing burger.’

Another insider said: ‘For a show about a sport of Kings, polo barely features any royalty. It’s not the Harry show, it’s the Nacho show.’

Mr Figueras, 47, has been dubbed ‘the David Beckham of polo’ but one source said: ‘Nice of Harry to do his mate a favour, but Nacho speaks broken English and is just not mainstream enough to pull in the ratings.’

Worse, according to brand expert Hayley Knight, is that this style of show, which has been described as ‘reality TV gold’ by some social media users, could affect the image the Sussexes are trying to portray.

She told FEMAIL: ‘Prince Harry’s new documentary series about polo being dubbed as “reality TV gold” will be a blow for the Sussexes.

Whilst the sport’s exclusivity and prestige align with their carefully curated brand, the series being reviewed in this way undermines their broader efforts to be taken more seriously.’

Hayley added: ‘They have worked hard to carve out a narrative around philanthropy, mental health and authentic storytelling, and this review goes against all of this.

‘Polo is very close to Harry’s heart, and I can imagine they wanted to create something rooted in their personal value and heritage.

‘The series is now at risk of shifting these values, and mocking the very sport they hold dear.

This is obviously a passion project for Harry, but it raises questions whether the documentary has been made in a way that portrays this, and the brand he and Meghan are trying to build.’
