A TikToker in China got fined $18,500 after filming herself cooking and eating a great white shark.
The TikToker known as Tizi online posted a video of herself buying, cooking and consuming a six-foot great white shark.
Chinese officials were able to identify the meat as great white shark by doing DNA testing her leftovers. By consuming the great white shark meat she had violated China’s Wild Animal Protection Law, which prohibits the commercial trade of certain wildlife species.
