Fourth time’s the charm. After three memorable stints with different Instagram accounts, Meghan Markle has revealed she is re-joining the platform with a fourth (and hopefully final) account.
The 41-year-old opened up to The Cut
in one of her most candid interviews to date (it’s giving the Oprah Winfrey sit-down
of 2021 and the Vanity Fair cover story
of 2017). Among revelations about her family life in California, reflections on her bombshell exit from the royal family and her current projects, Markle dropped another golden snippet for fans to look forward to.
“I’m getting back … on Instagram,” she told writer Allison P. Davis.
“Especially now, with Archetypes
coming out,” Markle added of her newly launched podcast
Prior to marrying Prince Harry, Markle previously had a personal Instagram account
filled with candid pictures. From dog snaps to selfies to moments with friends over cocktails, the Suits
star was just like any other Instagram influencer sharing elements of her life with her following.
Coinciding with her Instagram content was Meghan’s personal online lifestyle blog, The Tig, where she shared her favourite drinks and recipes, among other travel content.
When Markle married Prince Harry, officially becoming a royal family member in the process, the Duchess of Sussex was required to give up control of her Instagram account and The Tig (along with her passport and her acting career).
