There are a number of reasons to believe that the “cold shoulder” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received during the four days of Platinum Jubilee celebrations worsened their feud with the royal family, and to doubt those pre-Jubilee reports that Harry and Prince William had been in the process of mending their broken relationship by holding weekly video calls.
According to an eyewitness, one moment stood out above all others in showing the extent to which bad blood still roils between William and Harry, and between the royal family and the self-exiled Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The moment that showed William and Harry’s animosity on full display occurred when the Duke of Cambridge was walking down the aisle at St. Paul’s Cathedral for Friday’s thanksgiving service, ahead of his father, Prince Charles, and he didn’t even look in Harry’s direction, said Russell Myers, the royal editor for the Daily Mirror, who was present in the cathedral.
“The very fact that William didn’t even do that, I think that speaks volumes,” Myers said the the Daily Mirror’s “Pod Save the Queen” podcast, which was released Thursday.
