Prince Harry is expected to be the star of Nelson Mandela Day at the United Nations next week, where he will give a keynote address to the organization’s General Assembly.
But otherwise, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II has also taken on the role of househusband who apparently works his daily schedule around the the professional aspirations of his wife, Meghan Markle, according to a new report in Closer magazine. The report also said that the couple’s neighbors in Santa Barbara County have begun calling the former Hollywood TV actress “the Princess of Montecito” because of the way they say she expects to be catered to at local restaurants.
The report said that the Duchess of Sussex calls ahead to upscale restaurants in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles or Montecito to make sure she gets a table that is “completely secluded.” However, the Daily Beast said that such dining requests are pretty standard behavior for high-profile celebrities, suggesting that Meghan isn’t being any more than demanding that any of her famous friends, including Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres or Serena Williams.
But it appears that Harry likes accommodating Meghan’s needs, according to the Closer article. Perhaps Harry, whom Meghan described as a feminist, simply likes being a supportive spouse and devoting himself to domestic responsibilities.
