Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been dealt a blow as Netflix has reportedly dropped a series created, with much fanfare, by the Duchess of Sussex.
As share prices and subscriber numbers drop, the streaming giant has axed a string of projects in development, along with staff members.

The Sussexes’ animated series Pearl was added to the list of binned projects on Sunday, with Deadline reporting it was “quietly dropped”.
Pearl, produced by Meghan and Harry under their company Archewell Productions, was set to tell the story of a 12-year-old girl who follows famous women in history.
The series’ purpose was to inspire young girls, as part of the Sussexes mission to “produce programming that informs, elevates, and inspires,” Archewell Productions said.

“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges,” Meghan previously said of the series.
“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.
