Australia will roll out the red carpet for royalty once again when Princess Anne makes the trip Down Under later this year.
It has been confirmed the Queen’s daughter will be the guest of honour at the upcoming Sydney Royal Easter Show in April.

“Her Royal Highness is specifically coming to Australia in her role as Patron of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth to open the 2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show where we celebrate our Bicentenary,” organisers said in a statement.
“HRH also opened the 1988 Sydney Royal Show where we celebrated the nation’s bicentenary.”

The 71-year-old may also visit parts of rural and regional NSW during her trip.
Further details are yet to be announced.
It will be the first royal visit to Australia since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s headline-grabbing tour before they stepped down from their roles back in 2018.
