The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained quiet after the Queen announced that Camilla Parker Bowles will be queen consort when Prince Charles takes over the throne. According to royal biographer Tom Bower, Prince Harry’s wife and stepmother don’t like each other. He also believed that their “silence” was an insult to the royal family.
“Perhaps the Sussexes’ deafening silence is Meghan’s way of declaring war,” Bower told The Sun. “It is believed that she has never liked Camilla, and I am sure the feelings are reciprocated. From the outset, Camilla was suspicious about the adventuress from Los Angeles.”
Bower said Camilla couldn’t believe that Markle would sacrifice her career and independence and devote herself to service and the monarchy. Despite her suspicion, the Duchess of Cornwall has remained tight-lipped as she witnesses how her husband endures Prince Harry’s public attacks.
