The Duchess of Cornwall’s life as a royal has been far from smooth sailing but she is set to use the title of Queen Consort when her husband is King.
In her Platinum Jubilee message last week, the Queen, 95, expressed her “sincere wish” that the Duchess receive the honour when Charles takes to the throne.
The monarch also called on the public to support the pair as rulers when the time comes.
During her tenure as a member of the Firm, Camilla’s profile has grown significantly, especially due to her championing several important causes while also supporting her husband.
Despite having a busy schedule of her own, Camilla is often seen at Charles’ side during official duties, engagements and tours.
An insider also told the Telegraph that the Duchess had proved to be a “rock” for her husband after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to quit as senior royals.
