The 31-year-old royal lives at Frogmore Cottage with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their son, August, who was born in February last year. The family moved into the cottage, which is just a ten-minute walk from Windsor Castle, in early 2021. Frogmore Cottage was the former home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they were working royals living in the UK.
The Sussexes, who spent £2.4million renovating the cottage, moved in in April 2019, just before the birth of their first child, Archie.
But although the cottage is now inhabited by Eugenie and Jack, it remains the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s base in the UK.
A royal insider previously told The Sun: “Frogmore Cottage continues to be the Sussexes’ residence in the UK and they are delighted to be able to open up their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack as they start their own family.”
Therefore, it seems likely that the Sussexes would stay with Eugenie should they make a return trip to the UK.
There has long been speculation over whether or not Harry and Meghan will return to the UK.
The royal couple, who moved to the US in March 2020, has only returned to the UK a handful of times.
Their second child, Lilibet, is yet to come to the UK and meet her namesake the Queen.
But royal experts have speculated that the family might come back to the UK in Spring, on a trip to Europe that may coincide with the Invictus Games.
