Every Christmas Day we’re treated to new snaps of the Royal Family making their way to church for the festive service.
Covid has ruined the Queen’s plans for a big celebration at Sandringham, but she’ll still have a smaller affair with core members of the Firm.
We’ll only catch a glimpse of Her Majesty on the telly during the holiday season so to keep our spirits high, we’ve dug through the archives to bring you joyous photographs of the Royal Family from Christmases past.
From sweet Prince Harry in his shepherd’s outfit to Her Majesty dressing a Christmas tree, here’s a reminder of their jollier holidays.

Harry the Shepherd
Participating in the Christmas nativity is a longstanding tradition in the Royal Family.
Back in 1988, four-year-old Prince Harry stepped out in his festive attire for what we can only assume was a tear-inducing performance for his mum Princess Diana.
Harry was given the role of a shepherd in his school nativity play and one lucky photographer snapped this cute picture.
Young Harry popped a poncho over his checked shirt and a fancy blue tea towel on his head. Paired with his patent black shoes and knee-high socks, you can’t help but coo!
