It’s hard to imagine any member of the royal family with a “normal” job, in fact, it’s hard to imagine them doing anything but royal duties.
But for those who married into the famous family, they may have had to get day jobs like the rest of us beforehand.
And Kate Middleton’s day job before she found her prince? A very normal high street brand that you’ve probably shopped in yourself.
In 2005, after Kate graduated from St Andrews University, she took a job at women’s clothing store Jigsaw.
According to royal expert Rebecca English, Kate requested for the position at Jigsaw to be part-time, as she was in a relationship with a “high profile man” at the time… No points for guessing who that might have been.
Rebecca said in a royal documentary, ‘William and Kate: Too Good To Be True?’ that she spoke to someone who worked alongside Kate at Jigsaw.
She said: “Kate did get a job,” the Evening Standard reported.
“She worked as an accessories buyer but interestingly, someone at the firm told me at the time she went to the boss and said to them, ‘I need a job, but it needs to be part-time so I can work it around my relationship with this very high profile man’.
“That’s quite unusual for a modern working woman.”
