The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world when they announced they were stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family last year. In March, Meghan Markle and Harry sat down with US media mogul Oprah Winfrey and made several shocking accusations of their time in the Firm.
Now, in an upcoming ITV documentary, Diana, Dr James Colthurst reflects on his friendship with the late Princess of Wales.
But he believes Princess Diana would never have let Harry or Meghan Markle sit down with the media mogul.
He said: “I’m not sure he would have got to the interview stage.
“I believe she might have cautioned him beforehand to solve things in some other way.”
Dr Colthurst added how he agrees with Prince William that the controversial Panorama documentary with Diana and Martin Bashier should never be shown again.
He said: “It was created in a devious fashion, and I don’t think it needed to be that way.
“So yes, it should be put away.”
During the interview, Harry claimed Charles stopped taking his calls but said he hopes time would heal their relationship.
The couple also claimed there were conversations about Archie’s skin colour before he was born.
Since then, Harry has also taken part in a podcast and a documentary series where he has hit out at the Royal Family.
